  1. Hello all, I have just relocated to Raleigh, NC. I'm not very familiar with the area yet, so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for good nursing uniform stores in the triangle area. I found a few listed in the phone book, but thought I'd see if any of you had your favorites! I need a few new sets of scrubs, and I'm mainly searching for some good shoes. So a store with a good shoe selection would be great! (I like to try shoes on first, which is why I don't want to buy online). Thanks for your help!
  2. Can someone describe to me specific job functions, duties, etc...of a pediatric CNS? I'm trying to get some more information, and my internet searchs are just giving me some of the basic/generic info. What are the main differences between a pediatric NP and CNS? Thanks in advance!
  3. My husband and I just found out that we're FINALLY moving back to the Raleigh-Durham area. We're so excited since all of our friends and family are still there and we're so sick of the DC area (where we currently live). Anyways, I'm going to start looking into the area hospitals for RN positions and I was wondering if you could give me all of the pros and cons of each. I'm looking at Duke, Wake Med, Rex, and UNC hospitals. Would you be willing to share with me the good and bad of each? Overall enviroment, patient ratios, employee morale, pay, benefits, etc... Thanks so much for your help!
  4. I've heard that UNC offers excellent shift differentials, but I'm not too sure that I can believe what I hear. A nurse at UNC told me that they pay an $18 /hr shift differential for weekend nights??! And she's a new grad. Can that be right? The most I've heard for weekend nights is $5/hr in NC. Can anyone validate what I've been told? Also, does anyone know what the differentials are at Duke? Thanks!
