I am currently on the waiting list in Arizona for nursing school which is a 2 yr wait. My boyfriend will be going to Fort Bragg in the spring for 2 years.

I am exploring the option right now of moving to NC and wondering if there are any schools in the area that have a shorter waiting list? I've searched online and when I'm down there will probably explore some of the schools there but I'm wondering if anyone has info or advice they could offer?

Hey there! I lived in Fayetteville, NC and they have a great school thats off bragg blvd (goes towards Ft. Bragg) - it is called Fayetteville Technical community college. If you lived on Bragg, it wouldn't take you maybe 10 minutes to get there. If you have questions about the schools or the area let me know :). I'd be happy to answer them for you. HTH :)~Alexandra

Hi, I am pre-nursing student here in Fayetteville, I have currently applied to Fayetteville Tech and awaiting there selection time. We wont know until May if we have been accepted. There is no waiting list for this school, you just keep applying unitl you get in. They go off of a point system so basically the more pre-reqs and co-reqs you have done, the better your chances of getting in. There are many different colleges on the outskirts of fayetteville. There is also Fayeteville State and Methodity University. You have mant options to choose from. There is so much I can tell you about the process, if you have any questions, just ask.

Durham Technical Community College doesn't do a wait list, it does a point system for admissions (based on number of pre-reqs completed) but the application deadline has already passed for Fall 2012 so the soonest you could start there is Fall 2013. There are a lot of ADN programs here in NC going toward a point system though, so you might want to do a little googling and find one that is still taking apps for Fall 2012 or at least has a program that starts in spring 2013. If I am not mistaken, the nursing programs here do not have a wait list that long. They are usually just for the semester you applied for. There are lots of schools in NC. Just depends on what you are looking for (ADN vs BSN)

Hi there, I am a previous ADN FTCC nursing student, I would advise you to look into Robeson or Sampson Community College. If you would like more feedback please let me know. All I can say is I wished someone would have warned me about this school - run as fast as you can. It is one of the worst colleges I have been apart of. If you don't believe me - stop by there and ask some of the students who are in the r/n program. Good luck with everything! I hope you find the right path hun.

Anyone have any information on the generic BSN program at Fayetteville State University? I'm transfering there in January. Thanks! :)
