Hi!! I will be moving to North Carolina from Iowa City, Iowa in the beginning of June this year with my boyfriend. He will be going to school in Pittsboro, so any hospitals in that area would be ideal. So far, I am thinking of applying to WakeMed and UNC hospitals. I have two years experience as RN, BSN on a Neurology/Neurosurgery unit with telemetry monitoring. I'm wondering if anyone knows the salary ranges at either of these two hospitals for experienced RNs? Also, are these good hospitals to work for, or are there other hospitals in the area worth looking into? Thanks for your time.

I work at Duke University Hospital, which is the "magnet hospital" for this area, they pay very well, have great benefits and its a huge hospital with lots of positions. You can check it out at dukenursing.org

If you want to see the positions and salaries at the WakeMed facilities, you can look at http://www.Wakemed.org . Good luck!

Specializes in Cath Lab, OR, CPHN/SN, ER.

I don't have any experience at those hospitals, but good luck!

I am finishing a BSN program this may. I would like to relocate to any part of North Carolina. Any suggestion as far as cities areas? I am looking for a quite place, good job opportunities and affordable housing? Thanks!
