Can anyone give me some good solid onformation about the Fayetteville area and the hospital there? It looks like a great place.

Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I used to live there. I also used to work at a hospital there: Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. I loved working there, but the area - not so great. It is a military town (my husband was active Army and we lived on Fort Bragg), and because of this the pay is lower. I would not choose to live in that area again. I would, instead, choose somewhere in the triangle, (Raleigh, Durham, Carey). JMO.

I grew up in Fayetteville! Went to nursing school there. Cape Fear Valley Hospital is indeed a great hospital and has according to my parents who still live there, grown by leaps and bounds. So I would definately say if you're moving there, to think about working there, because it's large, it has variety. But I'm sure it has all the problems anywhere has.

I left Fayetteville right after high school graduation, then came back for nursing school and immediately moved to Durham to work at Duke. I'm not to fond of Fayetteville, but I'm the type who needs a more urban city and Fayetteville doesn't offer much to me any more. Definately agree Raliegh/Durham is a more happening place.

Good luck!

I lived there for a couple of years while still married to the ex (stationed at Ft. Bragg). I kind of liked the area, its too bad my family is from Pennsylvania or I'd move back there.

Sorry I don't have more information for you, your post just brought back good memories :)
