DUKE ABSN Fall 2012

U.S.A. North Carolina

Published

Hi all!

Just wanted to start a thread for the people applying to duke for the fall of 2012. I am super excited/nervous to be filling out the application! I know that there are others out there feeling the same way. If anybody is willing to comment I would love to hear from some people who have applied, accepted or denied, or applying right now, or even going to apply in the future. :)

HAHA it did the same to me also.

Thanks for the heads up! I haven't looked at my email in a while. Saved me an adrenaline rush! :)

ok...just checked my email. I don't have anything from Duke. What was it about? Thanks!

It was from M - just filling out a survey about our Duke Days experience. Nothing terribly exciting, ha ha!

I did send a very brief (two-sentence) thank-you email to my interviewer, only because she gave me some particularly helpful advice in an area where I've been "stuck." Basically said: enjoyed meeting you and appreciated the advice.

I have not sent thank-you's to interviewers for other schools, because I thought in this context (which to me seems different from a job interview) it might seem intrusive or pushy. Don't know, maybe it's a matter of personal style....? At one school I was interviewed by three people who didn't even introduce themselves with their full names, let alone give me cards with email addresses.

Anyone getting anxious??

Is it just me or are the days going by realllly slowly? Ugh, I just want to know one way or another already! I keep hoping they'll surprise us early...

Thanks for your input! I searched the web, and it looks like you are supposed to send thank you letters for Med School interviews, so I ended up sending a thank you letter and got a really nice response in return :specs:

soooooooo....admissions committee is meeting tomorrow, right?

Aaahhhh does everyone else feel like your heart is about to pound out of your chest everytime you get a new email? Good luck to everyone! Hopefully we will be getting some (good) news sooner than later!!
