Hi all!

Just wanted to start a thread for the people applying to duke for the fall of 2012. I am super excited/nervous to be filling out the application! I know that there are others out there feeling the same way. If anybody is willing to comment I would love to hear from some people who have applied, accepted or denied, or applying right now, or even going to apply in the future. :)

Yes, the ppt was very informative so I bet they'll definitely recycle slides (I only made it to the info session because I'm local). No problem about the updates - I've had a lot of time on my hands since graduation, ha ha. I will also be there bright and early tomorrow (are your initials in your screen name? I will keep my eyes out for you)! :) Are you coming with anybody?

Also, it just occurred to me that the Friday peeps might have been instructed not to say anything... which I can understand. ;)

Yes! My initials are in my screen name....also, I am MUCH older than you, so I won't be hard to find! :) ha ha! I was a finance major and worked for a long time, then stayed home with kids. I feel like doing something different now that is more flexible, compassionate and people oriented. I'm really looking forward to it! See you tomorrow!

those who already interviewed....I'm curious, did they say anything specific about when we'd be notified about decisions?

As a Friday the 27th interviewee, they said mid to late February for the first round of offers.

The admission committee will meet on Feb 13 they said on the 27th. I will turn into a lunatic directly after that lol.

Hey guys! Interview update: we were also told today that the committee is meeting on February 13th, so I will be joining y'all in the looney bin right after that. ;) Deep breathing...

For people interviewing on Friday - do NOT stress, just enjoy the day. The faculty interview lasts 15 minutes and the group thing was about an hour. We are sworn to secrecy about the group activity, but it is not something you need to get worked up about (it was actually pretty fun). Definitely wear comfortable shoes/bring flats - of course I did not heed that advice and now I can barely walk, ha ha. My heels were fine for most of the day but the walk around campus and all the standing did me in...

Waving hi to jpw4200 and the lovely Group A ladies I met today! Y'all are great! :)

I had my online skype interview (yesterday), I felt like it could've gone either way...they didn't really give positive or negative feedback..well we will see :0
