Hi all!

Just wanted to start a thread for the people applying to duke for the fall of 2012. I am super excited/nervous to be filling out the application! I know that there are others out there feeling the same way. If anybody is willing to comment I would love to hear from some people who have applied, accepted or denied, or applying right now, or even going to apply in the future. :)

I caved and ended up calling this afternoon... The woman in the office told me nada. Said she had no idea if the committee actually met yesterday or when we can expect to hear anything because the office people don't deal directly with that. Told me to check the timeframe on the website. Okay... just bothers me that they told us a date in the first place because now it feels like we're being strung along. More waiting it is! Positive thinking, guys! Happy thoughts! :)

so....tomorrow "at the earliest," eh? It's increasingly difficult to distract myself! This is maddening!

I think we should all do "rock, paper, scissors" to see who is going to call and get an update tomorrow! I can wait for anything as long as I know the time frame.... The worst is thinking that it might be any moment!!

I am always up for calling again, lol... maybe a few people can call so we can break them down. ;) Hopefully a different person will answer the phone. I think financial aid stuff is due tomorrow, so I feel like we should have already heard something!

hey guys, i also applied for the fall 2012 cohort. i recently came across this forum. i, too, have been waiting anxiously since last week. does anyone have any news?

Freak out time - just got off the phone with M herself! All decisions have been made and will either go out this afternoon or tomorrow but no later than Wednesday!!!! They are working out some system things now. AAAHHHHHHHHHH. I only called the main office but the nice lady put me through to M and I almost had a heart attack, ha ha!

I don't think schools do snail mail anymore (scratch that - UNC does, ha ha). Pretty sure something on our portal changes, but I'm compulsively checking the portal and email.
