Pace University CDP Fall 2012

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hello,

I just wanted to know if anyone has gotten their acceptance letter for the Fall 2012 CDP program at pace.

Thank you

I too am waiting for a response for PACE. I applied to LIU, NYU & PACE. I got my acceptance from all but PACE which is my primary choice. I have to respond to NYU by the 26th.... Calling the office today to see what i can do. I applied March 2nd and had all documents to them by the 15th. Wish me luck....

Hi everyone,

I was also accepted to the CDP program for Fall 2012...YAY!!! Pace was my first choice.

However,I could have sworn I applied to the 2-year program, but got accepted to the 1 year. I will be calling to schedule an appointment with the academic advisor to see if I can switch out, since the 1 year program intimidates me. Does anyone else feel the same way.

I am a mother of 2 little girls.

First, congrats!!! I got accepted into the 1 year track also and have two children, 6 and 4. My priority is finishing and getting a job asap, which is why I chose the 1 year track. I have a great support system with family and my husband to help with the kids which is huge, without them, I could never do this. It will be an intense year, but for me I look at it as only a year and I am done.

Hi I also sent in my application to Pace at the beginning of April! I hope to hear from them soon :)

Congrats to those who are in already and good luck to those that are waiting to hear back from Pace

Got a verbal confirmation that Im in.... But still no document proof.... Waiting for that before I decline NYUs offer

What are your reasons for choosing Pace over NYU?

Yes, I would also like to know what your reasons are for choosing Pace over NYU..I have not yet been accepted into NYU but i have been accepted into Pace and if i do get accepted into NYU i will be in a dillema as I am just not sure which one to go for if i am put in that situation. NurseXTina could you please elaborate a bit on your reasoning? Would really appreciate it!

Con congratulation to all of you that have been accepted!!! Can u post your stats please? thanks!!!

I just found out I was accepted to NYU, but will ultimately go with Pace. For me, its two reasons. The first being that their BSN program is shorter being that it is only 12 months (I am doing the one year track). Second, if I do decide to continue with a masters at Pace, I am guaranteed admissions into the program and don't have to reapply again. Both schools have high pass rates for the NCLEX, so you really can't lose with either in my opinion.

My stats for someone that asked: A's in all pre-reqs except Stats. 3.2 undergrad GPA.

Amchugh209, is it true that with Pace, you can go directly into the MS portion of the program after you finish the BS portion but with NYU, they require you to have worked as an RN for a year before you can start the MS portion? Thanks! Congrats on getting accepted to both schools!

Thank you! Pace allows you to start the MS portion whenever you want, directly after or years after, which I love. I know with NYU you can apply while in their BSN program to the MSN program. I think you apply when in your second semester. It sounded to me that as long as your grades are good, then you shouldn't have a problem. I don't remember hearing that they required you to work first. I guess the deciding factor for me ultimately is the length of Pace's program.
