Pace ABSN program starting 2013

U.S.A. New York

I know it's early, but is anyone else looking at Pace's ABSN program to start in 2013? I'm 90% finished with my prerequisites and just getting the pieces together to start the application process!

I believe you can defer.

hi everyone,

everything that rdr2110 said is 100% accurate. i was a student in the program and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. i PASSED all of my classes and still got kicked out. i repeat i PASSED every class! it is important to note you need a CGPA of 83% so do not let that 77% number fool you. my CGPA was an 82% and they kicked me out of the program. additionally one of my final grades was changed 3 weeks after the semester closed which in turn brought my CGPA below an 83% and they kicked me out. yes, they can change your grade after the semester closes.

if this school is your only option i suppose go for it (although i wouldn't recommend it) but if you got accepted into any other school, go to that school! best of luck to everyone.

Ha I can see I have a few classmates on here :) We ought to combine together and create one Pace-specific post to convince people NOT to apply.. the only way to get Pace to clean up their act.

Those of you who are already in the program and are dead set on it, I'll do what I can to help you. I'm putting together all the syllabi and book lists and schedules that we've received over the past three semesters and will send that out; will also send some study materials that were useful to us. I can't PM out, but feel free to PM me your email address and I'll mail everything to you. Good luck and TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER! See you in August :)

Hi mschief, I recently got accepted to the cdp fall2013 and after reading all the horrible reviews, I am terrified. I'm new to this site so I don't quite have access to private message. Can you mesaage me and I will give you my email address? Thank you very much

From this site it make it seem that everyone gets dismissed from the program, even if they have good grades. Is this actually the case?

Hi all!

So I went to the open house yesterday and they said the average GPA to get in was a 3.5. :\ I was wondering if anyone below a 3.1 got in?

I had exactly a 3.1 and still got in!

Mairayhans! Omg! Please let me know your stats! And all of that, what you did and sent out, etc! So scared I won't get in :(

Has anyone heard anymore news lately? Good or bad it seems like they have stopped contacting people all together :(

im going to another program but i never heard from PACE

Hey guys!

Those of you who are still waiting, I got called for an interview for the program today at 2:50pm pacific time. Did anyone else get called in for an interview? I live in California and requested if they could possible do a skype interview, but the lady who called said she will confirm with me tomorrow morning. At this moment, I am very uncertain about this program so I am unsure if I should even bother flying out if a skype interview is not acceptable. :(

Do not go to pace. I am currently in the program and just started my second semester and it is BY FAR the worst experience if my life. The first semester IS NOT easy it's tough and a lot if work and a lot of people fail out. The teachers and the school do not care if u pass they teach toward the NCLEX only and will not help if u are having trouble. I saw a lot of my friends fail out who would have been great nurses because they didnt meet the 3.0 gpa. Anyone who does meet it barely meets it at least most of the students. It's frustrating, you will have no life, which was expected but not to this degree. And you bust ur butt for a 3.0. This program sets you up for failure and if I had known I would have been patient and waited for acceptance into another program. However if this school is your only option take the two year route... They are happier/ not much but a little. Anyway, good luck to you and if u want more details u can message me.
