NYU hiring process

U.S.A. New York

Hello I recently applied for a position at NYU, they sent me an email recently saying to complete an online questionnaire or assessment tool. Is that a good sign? Do I have a good chance of hearing back?

Hi DWinNY, no I didn't. :( My interview is for the 7th. Are you a new grad?

Yes, I am a new grad. I think the preview day is just for new grads, so you're probably not missing out on anything if you've already been working as a nurse! Good luck on your interview!! :)

Thank you! Yes, I've been working for a year. I hope your interview goes well! Good luck! Keep me posted :-)

NS81, did you receive an invitation to the Nurse Residency Preview day on this coming Wed the 6th? They told me to come to that instead of my initially scheduled interview in 2 weeks.

I believe the Nurse Residency Preview Day would be most like what i experienced (as in my previous post a few pages back).

NS81 - I'd imagine however that your interview with recruitment might be a little bit different/ more in depth considering you have experience and have been working, so i'd be prepared :p .

Good Luck Guys!

Thank you, bionicRN! I am very nervous but excited about this opportunity! Just wondering, do you know if everyone who attended the initial interview/info session you went to regarding the nurse residency program ultimately get placed/hired on a unit?

I honestly don't know. I wouldn't be surprised that a few of those folks got hired as well. I'll probably find out when I start on Monday.

Well, thanks for the inside info as always. Good luck on your first day! Hopefully I will be joining you soon...

Hi NS81, as far as I understood, you are an experienced nurse, do you mind if I ask you do you work in city hospital now?

Hi greatgirl123, I applied a few weeks back. I received that email as well then about a week later I received an email about the assessment. It is the second step in the application process.
