NYU ABSN Fall 2013 Entry

Hello everyone! I have submitted my application and my transcripts to NYU for the ABSN program beginning in fall 2013! I am very excited but surprised that we will be hearing so late about an admission decision. Is anyone else applying?

I just found out last night that I have been admitted to NYU. Couldn't be more excited to start in September and meeting all of you who have been accepted. I encourage all of those that are still waiting to check your junk folder in your email as well because my acceptance letter from NYU went straight to my junk folder. I also encourage to email an advisor or counselor from the department to inquire about the status of your application rather than calling because they will remember your name. I called several times before and it didnt help at all until I email one of the counselor and I received the acceptance the next day afternoon. The only problem I have right now is confirming my enrollment. I went on albert and opened the application status page and I didnt see the "acceptance offer or rejection link". Can someone please point out to me? Does it take several days to show up the link after you receive the acceptance letter via email?

When you go on Albert to where your application status link is and you click on it there should be a link that says an admissions offer was made and you can click to accept or reject. Look forward to meeting you in the fall!

I basically just wrote that I want to inquire about the status of the application and if everything is needed to process the application and what I can do to increase my eligibility. I wrote the email on Wednesday morning, then I received the acceptance email on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 pm. My undergraduate GPA isn't that high at all, only a 3.3. My prerequisite GPA is probably a 3.5. I believe NYU looks at you as a whole person rather then just your GPA. I had two very strong letters of recommendation and a personal statement.

Thanks for the response. I logged on Albert and opened the application status page but I didnt see the acceptance offer link. I only saw the things that I sent to NYU such as the transcripts, admission fee and etc. does it takes a few days to update the link after you received your acceptance letter?

where did you find The email Address....was it on nyu contact an admission counselor?

I mean who did you contact and where Did you Find email address For the counselor?

So I just got my Spring grades back and they are not so good. B in Stats, C+ in Micro and C in A&P. Totally different from last term which was A in Algebra w/ Trig, B+ in A&P and B in Chem. Do you guys think I should wait to send in my transcript or do you think the reason I haven't heard is because they are waiting for my grades? What are you guys doing? I know they accept grades that are C or above so I'm not worried about having to take the classes again, I'm just wondering if they would hold it against me. Personally, I'm thinking I should wait until I hear if I get in to send in my updated transcript but what do you guys think?

I would totally wait. While it may not help to expedite the decision, I think you are more likely to be admitted if they don't know your Spring grades. At this point, they are probably assuming that you are going to finish somewhat similar to your prior semester.

That's what I was thinking. I'm actually registered to take A&P2 again this summer to make my grade more competitive for Pace and NYU. I'm also registered for Psych and Nutrition because if I don't get in this fall, I'm going to apply for the Spring. I might take Micro again this fall, but since they wouldn't see my grade, I'm not sure yet...
