NYU ABSN Fall 2013 Entry

Hello everyone! I have submitted my application and my transcripts to NYU for the ABSN program beginning in fall 2013! I am very excited but surprised that we will be hearing so late about an admission decision. Is anyone else applying?

Nyu is the only place I could find that would even allow me to apply while still completing prerequisites.... So scary too have all of my eggs in one basket... And such a prestigious basket at that! Doubt a day goes by wherein I don't worry about getting in. :-(

That’s my exact situation. I’m doing my last pre-req this semester. If you don’t mind me asking, did you submit everything already? And did you hear what they consider more in regards to personal letter, recommendations, college gpa, and resume?

I submitted everything. I will not finish all of my prerequisites until the first portion of the summer. I decided to throw caution to the wind and apply, as opposed to foregoing progress out of fear of a negative outcome

I submitted everything also. I won't have my bachelors until May, so this is my only "pre requisite" I guess.

I got my bachelors quite some time ago... That may be the only Prereq that is complete

I hope we get in!! I didn't see if anyone posted, but does anyone know when letters should be sent out? Since we have everything in by the priority deadline?

Also - did you get confirmation when your supplemental was received?

Was that 5 days or 5 business days after online? Haha silly question, but just curious because I haven't received an e-mail like that yet (with the ID).

I just called NYU to ask about things listed as outstanding in Albert--it turned out my application was complete and none of the items listed were outstanding. If you're worried, give admissions a call just to put your mind at ease--there's a link with a phone number and email address in the Albert system, they were very helpful and it was a quick call.

Just wanted to update everyone I send out my supplement last Tuesday the 19th and I just received the email from NYU with the login info. So far when I click on status I only see the application date and type I do not see anything else checked off.

Hi, where did you see outstanding items in Albert? I clicked on Application Status and didn't see anything there except the basics (degree I applied for, decision date, etc.) Thank you!

Hi Hopefulxo,

I saw them in the 'application status' portion of Albert - mine showed a list of 'missing' items. If you sent everything in and nothing is showing then you're probably in good shape.
