NYU ABSN Fall 2013 Entry

Hello everyone! I have submitted my application and my transcripts to NYU for the ABSN program beginning in fall 2013! I am very excited but surprised that we will be hearing so late about an admission decision. Is anyone else applying?

I keep checking. Nothing! Maybe after 5 p.m. they will send it.

I just called to see if they could tell me anything about the decisions since another school needs a deposit next week and they said "mid-april to the end of april". They couldnt tell me so im just hoping that decisions come out this weekend the latest.

Oh God! This waiting game is killing me! I keep hearing April 1st, Mid April, end of April, May lol. It's like they don't even know when they will be ready to start sending out desicions ...:no:

I also called them and they said in 2 weeks I will find out. But I really would like to know soon. I don't understand why they are making us wait so long. :unsure:

Do you guys just ask a generic question about when the decisions will be released or do you specify when "yours" will be released. I'm just trying to understand why everyone is hearing different dates. Maybe they already see when each individual acceptance will be released ?

I spoke with an admissions counselor today instead of one of the students, and she said that they started sending out decisions through e-mail yesterday. She said they send the decisions out Wednesdays and Fridays, so if you don't hear by tomorrow, you would hear on a Wednesday or Friday of the following week.

Ah. That scares me. Hopefully, some of us start finding out (good)news tomorrow.

That's a pretty broad topic. What specifically are you confused about? How to apply? How it gets awarded?
