U.S.A. New York

Hello Everyone!

I have recently interviewed for the ED/NICU/PICU Fellowship at NSLIJ and I wanted to get some feedback about the program from past or recent nurses in the same program. Also, it would be nice to connect to other applicants out there who are going through the process!

How did your interview go? They told me they only pick 10 candidates so let's keep our fingers crossed!! Sounds like an amazing experience and I'm so grateful to had the chance to interview.

Good luck and keep me posted!

Anybody else heard anything??

If you haven't heard anything yet, you have just about a week to have everything done as the class starts July 8.

Hey! How did the interview go?

Hi Penny0982 !!!

I hope the fellowship has gone well for you! i see that you're about to be done with your 1 year! congrats!!

i had a question about the PICU fellowship, I'm interviewing this week for the session that will start in august! I'm very nervous this is my first professional interview, any tips about what i should be expecting in the interview? and any tips to know if its going well?

I am a new grad and got my license in March.interviewed for the fellowship a few weeks ago. Hang in there and keep applying non-stop! We are all bound to land a little something! Good luck!

Hi Samie-RN! I just saw the posting for the PICU fellowship today and applied. Did you find out about an interview the next day cause the posting just went up. Also I just attached my resume and cover letter, I'm still waiting on getting my recommendation letter and hope I can edit my application and add it in later. Are you a BSN graduate and did you take the NCLEX?

And congrats by the way on the interview! Don't be nervous about the interview, be honest about why you got into nursing and why this field interests you. They will probably go over your resume and ask deeper questions into whatever experience you have. Do you know by any chance if they consider AD nurses for this.

Hi Nessa,

Thank you very much!

Yes i was contacted right away. I don't know of anyone else that is interviewing. I am a BSN grad and no i have not taken the nclex yet, i will be taking it in July. Im not sure if they accept AD applicants but it doesn't hurt to try!!! I wish you the best of luck and i hope you get contacted for an interview soon!!!! :)

Thank you Sammie! I called HR yesterday and they said that they will consider AD nurses so keeping my fingers crossed. Did you have your interview already? If so how did it go?

Hiii I have an interview next week for the Critical Care Fellowship and I had a question for people who had to do the head to toe assessment. Since we are not expected to do on a patient, and just speak about how would we do it, how much detail do they want you to go into? Any interview questions would be helpful, because I am very nervous! Thanks so much!!

I have my interview for the PICU fellowship next week (starting in August). Does anyone know if they will potentially give me an offer if I plan on taking the NCLEX end of june?

Hi Sari,

If they really like you I'm sure they will give you an offer. They know you haven't taken the NCLEX so they wouldn't waste their time in interviewing if it wasnt going to lead to a possible position. When did you get the call from them? And how long ago did you apply? I anxiously waiting for a phone call!! I'm an AD nurse though so I'm not sure what my chances are.
