#Yaaaaaaay WE did it! We've come a long way guys & gals. So excited and humbled by the whole experience of being accepted into the Nursing School fraternity. This upcoming 2 year journey has me anxious/nervous & happy for what's ahead. I know and don't expect the journey to be easy...but where blessed to be named The 1st Class of MSON. So how's the process going for you all so far?...

Can't wait to meet you ALL @ orientation...

Hi Mrs.ComboCurlz

This experience has indeed been humbling. Taking pre-requisites for so long even before starting school was a journey of its own. But it has also given me a boost of confidence because now we know how difficult it is just getting into a nursing program - and we made it! It is exciting to be the first class of MSON. I wonder if we will do clinicals there or if they will have positions for us after graduation.

Are you doing anything to prepare for classes before we start? Have you purchased any supplies?

Hey Enfermera, yes SOME clinicals will be there...I believe when we get to OB/GYN Maternity. You can go to the schools website, click the link for the Student Handbook or Catalog; it'll tell you where we'll be during a given semester. The only supply I have for now is my 2 Littman Stethoscopes...I use them everyday at work. I decided not to purchase supplies YET till I get the list of what we definitely need. But that hasn't stopped me from making my Amazon.com dreamy wish-list! ;^)

And congratulations to you...I hope I'm not the ONLY one that has framed my acceptance letter. It's just the beginning...#yaaay

That is sooo funny.... I have an Amazon wish list too!!!!

Im glad that our school is now part of the Montefiore system.

Ive been reading some horror stories on AN about the difficulties of landing that first RN job after graduation. So I hope this new affiliation will come with some perks and benefits ;-)

Thanks! Im elated! Cant wait to start and meet everyone.

Yes, i've been reading them too, but I agree! That should definitely be a plus(+).

Thanx sooo much;really appreciate the well wish! All the best to you in whatever your goals are. (CheesySmile)

Hey guys!! I was also accepted for this Spring! Super excited to get started. From what I understand the class size is kept really small, so I think we're all going to be getting to know each other pretty well over the next two years!

Yes we sure are...extended family! I wonder when we'll be able to take care of tuition/loan/scholarship information. I guess we'll see very soon. I already logged on to Moodle, and printed forms ,clicked the link "Universal Forms". Saw the list of books etc...started making my binder.

Congrats to everyone!!! But I have on question can anyone tell me the passing score for the teas test for SON???

Make sure you have your paperwork for clinical. You will need progress notes, clinical database, and clinical assignment forms. You might not need the clinical database forms for every week, but have it handy just in case. You will also need the unit orientation form for your first day.
