#Yaaaaaaay WE did it! We've come a long way guys & gals. So excited and humbled by the whole experience of being accepted into the Nursing School fraternity. This upcoming 2 year journey has me anxious/nervous & happy for what's ahead. I know and don't expect the journey to be easy...but where blessed to be named The 1st Class of MSON. So how's the process going for you all so far?...
Can't wait to meet you ALL @ orientation...
Hey Takoo01- It's not that I heard something bad, I was just really uneasy with the financial aid/loan process. I was previously enrolled in another nursing program and due to some issues with loans there I wasn't able to finish my degree. I was uneasy with the fact that it's so close to classes starting and i would still have to apply for their student loans to even find out how much I was eligible for, how much I would have to come up with on my own, etc. I got into another program that told me upfront exactly what I would be eligible for, and I just couldn't take the chance of it not working out again. Good luck with the program!
So the first day has come and gone. What do the Nursing 1 students think?[/quote']VERY overwhelming! Lots to read (granted) textbook & power points. Trying to understand this darn schedule "pullout days" yada yada... Online assignments due dates, Dosage calc chap test, video skill watching etc...not enough time in a day. But will get it done...overall happy to be here. Really liking my Prof's, especially Prof: Parkes. Just takes time getting used too...need to focus on staying organized and jotting EVERYTHING down in my planner. How'd you maintain your 1semester till now? Thanx McFlea!
You'll get into a routine and you will do just fine! Prof. Parkes is very nurturing and friendly. By the way I was the guy who popped his head in to say good luck. You have a large class this term![/quote']Oooooooooh that was YOU! Great, I believe it'll all fall into place. We're newbies yah know lol. Thanx for the encouragement, you truly look and sound excited about your journey. That's the way to remain...
Well we haven't touched on Dosage/Calc yet...though we must read the required chapters. I can do it, I can do it!!! ?
Take it 1 unit exam at a time. Dosage is simple, but get used to doing the calculation in the required format because it will make future tests and semesters easier. Most people do well in N1 so, don't worry.
In N1, I did not print out the power points, but had them open to look at on my ipad. Prof. Parkes likes you to take notes from her lectures.
I had to change this up in N2 because the teaching style was different. You'll make the necessary adjustments that work for you.
