Here are two leads for you to check out.

NY Presbyterian is forming their new grad wait list for Sept '10, Dec '10 and Jan '11 grads. See their website for more details.

Visiting Nurse Service of New York is looking for new grads for an internship. Again see their website for details.

The only caveats to these postings are that they require BSN. (sorry to all the Assoc. degree RNs).

I will try to post everything I come across. GOod luck all.

Actually visiting nurse do consider associate degrees GN's I was told by a recruiter.

The particular job posting that I was referring to states BSN REQUIRED.

Specializes in Pediatric Pulmonology and Allergy.

I applied to both as soon as I received my license (in Sept 2010) and have yet to hear from them... and I tried calling, emailing, going down in person, etc. Not to put a damper on anyone's hopes, and definitely go ahead and apply. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Specializes in ER/SURGICAL ICU/PACU/MEDICAL ICU.

That is correct.

I have been working at NY Presbyterian for 4 years and have recently tried to get a fellow girlfriend a job there, but, as per the recruiter, they will not take any ADN nurses, especially without any experience.

Let me be clear, while they do have a "new grad" waitlist, rest assured that it can be a VERY LONG wait. They will aim to hire any and all BSNs with 3-5 years of experience, before they even look at a new grad BSN. They spend way too much money in training new grads to even bother looking at them.

It's a shame really that any and all hospitals do this, but the bottom line is that it saves them money.

I tried looking at the website and then googling it and I couldn't find the sign up list.

NYP waitlist is closed. The next waitlist will probably open up around july/august for the May, June, and August 2011 graduates.
