CUNY Hunter Generic Pathway Fall 2013

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone else on here applied for the 2013 Hunter generic nursing program. For those of you applying to the traditional generic program how do you feel about the seats being reduced to 50 due to the new program being introduced =(?

Hi guys. Did anyone apply for the New Program? I just took NLN and did not do too well -130. My GPA is about 4.0. My cumulative GPA has not been computed yet.... I applied for the New Program and hope to get in, even though I will have to be at Hunter for 1 extra year :-)

I have a 3.8 gpa and got a 140 on the NLN, what do you guys think my chances of getting in are? I don't feel confident :(.

pandora- i wouldn't be too discouraged. The gpas and nln scores are always high for hunter but i have seen people post that they have gotten in with 3.4s. So a 140 doesn't disqualify you automatically especially with such a good gpa.

I am applying to the accelerated program but am worried as well. I am taking the nln at the end of the month and right now am just doing practice questions all the time and then reviewing questions i get wrong. Does anyone have any other study tips? I already read/studied all the beginning sections in the red book. Thanks!

If it makes anyone feel any better I got in with a 3.1 gpa

I think that the tradition pathway program might be much competitive than a new program. I will take the NLN the end of this month. Is there anybody who will take the exam on same date as me?

I am taking the test on the 26th.

Anyone applying to the accelerated program?

If it makes anyone feel any better I got in with a 3.1 gpa

what was your nln score?

I took it a long time ago, can't remember (maybe 140?). But I remember it was on the 99 percentile. I can say the accelerated program is 150% harder to get into than the generic. My advice is to apply to the generic, you only save half a year if you go accelerated.

sigh... so i took the test today and it was not fun.

how'd people feel about this test? if lets say my goa is 3.2 and score is 148, what are the chances...

A 148 should you get you in. The GPA is a bit low. At least a 3.5 to place you in the ballpark.

Hello everyone! I took my nln yesterday and I received a 145. My gpa is 3.72. Does anyone think this may be good enough for the fifty seats available?

hey did any1 here apply under "New Generic pathway" or are all of you mostly traditional?

this wait is really stressing...:bored:
