Beyond desperate

Im so desperate now at this point I would even pay someone to put in a good word for me in a hospital in nyc lol. Can any of you guys tell me anywhere in NYC/LI that is hiring? I'm a new nurse and have applied EVERYWHERE and have had only 2 interviews and no job offers. I don't know what to do, relocating is not an option for me so I have to find something in the nyc area. There has to be a hospital, clinic, etc willing to hire a new grad nurse. Any info on anywhere hiring would be greatly appreciated. Also would anyone be willing to look at my resume? Ive had people look at my resume and cover letter and havent had much feedback on them but I'm beginning to wonder if something is wrong with my resume? maybe someone can help?! Thanks guys.

Hi, just wanted to let you know that the HHC hospitals are hiring. I just got hired along with many other new grads so you might want to give it a try.. Good luck everyone!!

I have been applying online and i didn't get any response. What did you do differently. I went to one of the HHC hospital and they told me to apply online. Do you have ADN or BSN? Do you have 1yr experience or are you a new grad. I am a new Grad, i graduated Dec.2010.

I would say keep applying on-line for different positions so they can't miss your resume :) but for people who can, volunteer. I know, its not easy but I think its a time well invested...

Hey guys-my story goes like this...Passed Boards in Nov.2008-still NO JOB-total of ONLY 4 interviews knowing that 3 of them I WOULD WAS NOT EVEN GOING TO GET THE JOB!!!!! Now you ALL KNOW how I got my name. I have given up and in!! SosadRN.

Google VTA Management (subdivision Nurseworks). They mostly do school nursing. They hire new grads. Hope this helps!:)
