Beyond desperate

Im so desperate now at this point I would even pay someone to put in a good word for me in a hospital in nyc lol. Can any of you guys tell me anywhere in NYC/LI that is hiring? I'm a new nurse and have applied EVERYWHERE and have had only 2 interviews and no job offers. I don't know what to do, relocating is not an option for me so I have to find something in the nyc area. There has to be a hospital, clinic, etc willing to hire a new grad nurse. Any info on anywhere hiring would be greatly appreciated. Also would anyone be willing to look at my resume? Ive had people look at my resume and cover letter and havent had much feedback on them but I'm beginning to wonder if something is wrong with my resume? maybe someone can help?! Thanks guys.

IN THE EXACT SAME POSITION AS YOU!!! NYC area and am too embarrassed to even tell you how long my search has gone on. Had an interview 2 hospitals and one doctors office. On craigslist all the time. Considering were in the same area if you dont mind emailing to have each other in our contacts! I would love meet someone who actually knows how it feels. I swear people dont believe me when I tell them a nurse down here cannot find a job.

Nursie777 May I ask how did you go about applying to the HHC hospital? Did you go in person? I have applied online and have also send them my resume through regular mail since I live in Atlanta (I do have a NY RN license) but no response so far. Any advice?

I have been applying online and i didn't get any response. What did you do differently. I went to one of the HHC hospital and they told me to apply online. Do you have ADN or BSN? Do you have 1yr experience or are you a new grad. I am a new Grad, i graduated Dec.2010.
