Anyone heard from Molloy for fall of 2008?

Has anyone received word from Molloy College about acceptance?? I've been waiting for more than 3 months. I hope it's a good sign, and I'll get accepted in the fall.

I really don't know. I highly doubt it. I was looking at their site and most of the nursing classes were fall/spring. I have heard their program is long but because they have the LPN Mobility and I have the previous degree I'm hoping 3 years would be the max. 2 would be more wonderful but I don't have Chem and Micro so I'm pushing it. The LPN things knowck off some clinical time so I really hope they accept me if I like what I hear.

Yep, I am just starting my pre-req's, so that's why it'll take me 3 years as a ft student. It sucks b/c I was hoping to take summer classes to finish faster, but I was told that there are no nursing classes offered during the summer unless I was in the accelerated program (which I'm not). It's not worth completing the pre-req's elsewhere & applying into an accelerated program b/c I'd still be looking at 3 years since my former BA was in English & secondary education. Does Molloy offer nursing classes in the summer for all students or just the accelerated ones?

I am not sure about Molloy program since I never applied there but at adelphi I was told the same thing that I could not go to summer school since I also was not excepted for the accelerated program due to the fact I started in the spring and its usually for people that starts in the fall with all there prereqs already done but I was still able to go to summer school and finish faster just make sure you register early and you should be fine

My blessings to her. Veeb was great. The instructors are VERY good. The pharm and fundamentals instructors are both Adelphi MSN graduates. The others are from Molloy's MSN program. Tell her to hang in there and do her best.

thanks I will let her know

Good luck to you

I'm at Molloy now. They have two dual degree programs. One for LPNs to RNs and one for Non-nurses to RNs. I'm in the non-nurse program. Call their office, and they will answer everything. Just make sure ALL your questions are ready. I love the school. I love the undergraduate program. One gripe I do have is that the school seems to be offering fewer and fewer clinicals during the summer. In addition, the school is very strict with prerequisites and corequesites. Here's where that causes a problem: Let's say, you had 6 semesters of study to complete. At another school, you might be able to complete 6 semesters worth of work in two years with summer and winter intersessions. At Molloy, without the summer clinicals, it can take you a full three to three and a half years to complete everything. If this is not a problem for you, then it's worth a phone call to them.
