So Frustrated with the board of nursing in nj

:angryfire I took my nclex pn , september 12th , got my results from perarson vue, stating i passed. I took my fingerprint september 26th and was told i will get my congratulation letter 7 to 10 business days after. Today is OctoBer 12th and i am yet to receive anything in the mail.

I call the board of nursing every day , after hiking my phone bill up from constantly being on hold for very long period, i am always greeted by someone with an attitude that is clueless to what is going on, friday oct 6th i wastold that my congratulation letter will be sent out immediately, everytime i call i hear something different, i am so frustrated, and i am obsess with the mail carrier, every morning i check my mail and am always dissapointed, i have missed more than one job offers because most want a physical copy of the liscence or even the congratulation letter, i do have the liscence number but for most places it dont count for nothing.

Does anyone know what i can do? I cant take it anymore.

I have classmates that has been waiting on ATT for over a month , what is wrong with the board of nursing in NJ?

Does anyone know if i can walk in and get a copy i live less than 15 min from the headquarters by car. I have never gotten to ask the this question because most of the time the rude person that answers the phone hang up when i am in mid sentence.:angryfire

Wow that must be so frustrating!!! I dont know an answer but if you go in person you may be able to get more questions answered, they certainly cant hang up on you.

I don't know what's wrong but I heard they are the slowest of all boards when it comes to updating the information on their website. I passed 3 weeks ago and did not receive my license yet.

Hm, it seems to be a trend in NJ :rolleyes:

Everytime I have to get ANYTHING from the government, it not only takes forever, but the workers are just down right RUDE. And they seem to not know anything and are always confused every time I call!

Sorry I don't have any advice since I am not a nurse, yet atleast. Good luck and I hope you get some good advice/the board of nursing gets moving!

(Please don't take offensive if you work with the gov. or know anyone that does, I am just stating what I deal with every time I ever have to get anything done with them! I'm not saying they are all like that, because I am sure they are not!)

1. call the dean at your school and tell them what has been taking place. see if they have any suggestions.

2. drive to newark and tell them you want your license. and if you don't get it, you're contacting sara lee kessler from njn network,since she is presently producing a special on nursing in nj, and would be more than happy to be interviewed by her regarding what has been happening to you.

3. if all fails, then call the attorney general's office from your cell phone right there!
