Hi! Just thought I would start a new thread for NJCU, 2014 applicants! - Any thoughts/concerns regarding the application process or help from alumni is greatly appreciated! I'm applying to the Wall cohort for this May. :up:

I feel like a senior in high school all over again!

Have you taken your HESI yet? Is the admissions process going smoothly for you?

I'm applying for the Wall cohort but if wait listed I will definitely want to be considered for the JC campus. I'm super anxious as well! Can't wait until this is all over! haha :nailbiting::arghh:

Thank you for the warm welcome! I took the HESI this week and was terrified about it, I did good but not as good as I hoped.Taking the HESI was the last piece of the puzzle since I already submitted my application. At this point I am only waiting for NursingCas to verify it and submit it to NJCU.

I can't wait either!!! But theres nothing left to do other than staying positive and hoping for the best!

I am applying to the JC cohort. My application is complete at this point; it's been verified by Nursing CAS and I took the HESI this week (93). Now the waiting begins....

Anyone know when they are targeting to have acceptance letters out?

I wish I knew!! but since they extended their deadline it may be a longer wait :/

Hi Everyone -

So I sent NJCU an email to find out when they anticipate having decisions made, and I got a quick response. I was told within 4 weeks of the new deadline (2/28) for both Wall and Jersey City.

They won't confirm whether or not they have your HESI score. Rather, they will download the scores after the deadline, and as long as you registered with the school code, your score will appear.

Probably slightly behind the game, but just submitted my application for the Wall Cohort -- stress level has yet to come down. :shy:

Hello!

It's awesome to share some of the anxiety and excitement over this whole application process.

I actually took my HESI exam today (AHHHHHH!!!) and finally submitted/ paid for the application on NursingCAS.

I wish everyone good luck, and I hope you guys all make it into the program.

Let's keep our fingers crossed!

ps: did anyone else think that the Elsevier's review book covered 50% of the material? The math, reading, grammar, and vocab sections were helpful.. but not the biology/ A&P section... :no:

Hi everyone :)

So I took the HESI finally and I didn't think it was as bad as I thought it would be, like other people have said. Advice to anyone who is still needs to take it is take your time! I rushed it in 2 hrs and I'm sure if I would've slowed down I would've scored better. By the grace of God I got a 91 :)

Now it's just a waiting game....

How is everyone doing with their transcripts problem for those of you that NursingCAS lost your transcripts?
