Will be taking NCLEX for the 3rd time, need advice & encouragement, please help!!!.

This will be my 3rd attempt taking NCLEX-RN. I am loosing confidence. There are many nights that I just couldn't sleep and I could not stop crying wondering how I am going to pass this test. I am going to loose my house if I don't pass this test. I am doing Kaplan online course and NCSBN subscription for 5 weeks. I already have a set date for the test October 3, 2009. Need advice on what other tools/materials to help pass this test. Any help/advice will be appreciated thank you.

True, after a few days I'm working on trying to pry myself off the pavement and try again. I received my results today, it says I did better than the first time--good news.

I'm going to take the advice of another nurse on here, not to tell anyone of my 3rd test date--to keep the pressure off of me. Seriously, having to tell people that I failed is so disappointing.

We will all get there, it just will take us longer, our minds weren't designed to take this style of exam. Not everyone is good at this standardized test. Hey--we made it through the program, now we have to keep on trying--we'll do it!!! At least we all have each other. I seriously am so thankful to find others, it's nice to know I'm not alone.

Also limit time spent on these forum and focus on your first priority...... NCLEX!

So true Kaybdt6--I've been studying like crazy and haven't been on the forum in a while--wish me luck!!!! I test this week--so nervous! This time I got a script from the doc for propranolol for test anxiety--much needed!!!! :rolleyes:

Me too, I have failed it twice and had stopped even trying for the 3rd time until 3 weeks ago. I had been feeling the void of something in my life. Then I decided that I have to do this. It has made my life much happier. Needless to say it has been 4 years since I took my last NCLEX, so I have to work much harder. I have started from scratch and started getting ready for it. This forum is a great way to share your thoughts and anxieties. Get them out here. Scream and yell all you can. I agree with the slogan "I can do it", I really think it should be "We can do it". I know I will be able to this time. I am gonna take my time and get ready for it and nail this son of a gun. I know you will too. Take some time (as much as you can, I know some of you are taking this sooner than the other) bang your heads on the wall, scream and yell, once all the frustration is out, concentrate on the exam and nail it. We all have to.
