to those who took HURST review help pls

I know NCLEX has recently been changed, that's what I'm reading on here anyway but I don't know if the type of questions have changed. Anyway, I took NCLEX 6/2012 and did the online Hurst review. I had failed my NCLEX my first try, with no review class, on 1 section after answering 265 questions... After the review I passed with 91 questions (I think), it was low 90's anyway and the NCLEX seemed kinda easy! No I didn't pass with 75 but I'm telling you I was so confident I KNEW I passed. Not only are the questions the same, it teaches you how to decipher the question!!! That's the important part. You can practice 1000 questions a day but until you really learn to read those questions correctly it won't do you any good. Good luck on your test!

I am international nurse graduated 5 years ago passed the nclex from the first time with 75 questions on July-8-2013 :-). I did hurst and Kaplan q bank questions I found that hurst helped me a lot with content. However, Kaplan q bank questions were very similar to actual NCLEX exam but I did not like their lectures at all.

I took Hurst in my last semester of school. It helped me to understand the basics of what was happening. Needed more questions though.

3 years ago, I did a live 3 day Hurst class shortly after I graduated and did a Lippincotti NCLEX question workbook of about 2,000 questions, passed with 75

My school required us to take HURST before we graduated May 2013. It was the live review and the online videos were available if we needed it. Our live teacher stated that she would be asking us higher level questions based on the April 2013 change. I however felt like the Q-bank was sufficient in preparing you. I only completed 3 of the quizzes ranging 82-93/125 and passed with 75 questions on my first attempt! I loved HURST.

Hurst Helped I believe if you focus on Hurst and invest in priority delegation and assignment book by LaCharity! I also had similar questions on NCLEX from the iphone lippincot nclex APP. Anyway I found out today I passed NCLEX RN in 75 questions in 40 minutes and I thank hurst for that. My q-review scores were 77 78 83 94 95 85 out of 125 not in that order!

I did the hurst review in late April and thought it really helped me learn and understand core content. I did all 6 of the Q review tests and my scores ranged from 87-95/125. I thought that those tests really helped and were similar to the NCLEX. I also bought a Kaplan book and did 265 practice questions from there and read their test taking strategies, which I think also helped. I just took my NCLEX this morning and it cut off at 75 questions. That worried me but I did the pearsonvue trick and got the "good pop up" so I'm hoping I passed!

Hello, I am also using Hurst to study. I've reviewed most of the book and listened to the lecture a few times. I feel like I know most of it pretty well. How did you test yourself to see if you memorized it completely

I took the Nclex RN exam early aug '13 only to find out I failed...I reviewed with Kaplan for a month straight doing questions everyday scoring anywhere from 60%-88% on Qbank..I've gone through the depressed phase and told myself I would never be a nurse but now I am slowly trying to get back in the game. I purchased Hurst Review and am really hoping it will be successful the second time around...

Can anyone shed some light on how Hurst specifically helped you while you were taking the NCLEX exam? i know i could not related to Kaplans decision tree at all because most of the questions were content, and I either knew it or I didn't..

Looking for some hope...please share your stories!
