Testing February 6th... anxious!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Only a little over a week left.. any last minute suggestions?!

I am planning on covering the PDA book - my scores are falling in the 60s. Is this okay? Did anyone pass with these kinds of scores?

I also am finishing up NCSBN. I didn't review content but my question scores are 50s - 70s. There were a few that was higher.

What's a good score for NCLEX 4000?

I am having such a hard time with SATA! Pharmacology is coming tougher to me too. I don't know what to do but I am getting overwhelmed.

I'm sorry if this post was all over the place but I am just so scared. I really have been working hard. I had a family emergency with my dad's health (he's doing much, much better now) and wasn't able to test for 3 years. I am SO ready to move past this exam and actually begin my career.

For me NCSBN questions was harder than the test. Just understand your rationales, know why you got the question incorrect. Know your lab values and EKG's. Look at each SATA statement as true or false. Relax the day before. Good luck!

I graduated in 2003. After long time, yesterday i took the test and passed. I scored 60% in PDA in almost every chapter. No worries. I was very poor in sata. I asked many times in the forum, how to deal with sata? And i used to scare a lot, when the people said got lot of sata in Nclex. And you know,i got 15 -20 sata( I passed with 80 questions). Still i cant believe did i do this many sata in the real test? I scored low in kaplan and Hurst also. Before the test day,i scored only 56% in kaplan's question bank and i cried like anything with the score. And i did it. You also definitely can do it. Please dont stress,Keep on pracitce the questions, which helps a lot. Practice,Practice.............

Good luck.............

Wow! CONGRATULATIONS! I am extremely happy for you! I hope that in a couple of weeks, I will be with you in that position! I'm trying to do 300 a day and review a little bit of content too. Thank you for the inspiration!

Hey there! I am doing kaplan and my scores range from 58%-66%. I haven't used any other study method really. I am testing the 5th of February. Just keep practicing questions and don't do anything the day before the test like try to cram stuff in bc it won't work it will just make you more anxious. Just relax and do something relaxing. Wish you the best and good luck!

I'm testing tomorrow and trying to take this last day as a relaxing day, although I'm looking through my Kaplan question trainers and trying to figure out where I went wrong with some of them. Just do questions, look up rationales, and don't get too stressed out!

Good luck to the both of you! Keep us posted! :)

I'm also testing February 6th and feel just as anxious. I'm not that great with SATAs either. Everyone in my graduating class that have already taken the NCLEX passed in under 100 questions. But I'm worried I'm going to be "that one" even though everyone keeps telling me I'll do fine. At my wit's end here in Minnesota! : /

So, I was talking to my older sister who is a nurse yesterday and she helped put it into perspective. She said: "What's the worst that could happen? You fail. Yes, that would suck, and yes you would cry. But you could dust yourself up, and take it again. It's not like you're going to die. The computer doesn't explode if you fail. It's the NCLEX, not the Hunger Games. Go in there telling yourself you can do this. Sit down at the computer, tell yourself it is just a test. Don't look at what number you're on. Just answer the questions to the best of your knowledge and hit next before you second guess yourself."

Thinking of you rnaria and everyone else that has a test coming up soon your gonna do great!!! :) Also MissJoanna your sis's advice is completely right, great perspective!!

Ahh! I know how you feel! All of my classmates have passed also since it's been a couple of years since I graduated. What sources do you use to study? I hope February 6th proves to be a lucky day for us! Wishing you luck!

Thank you, @ktenor!

@MissJoanna - Thank you for helping me put things into perspective. You're absolutely right! The worst case scenario isn't life threatening. Really good advice. I am really going to try utilizing those words to help me stay calm for the next week and a half and especially on test day. (The Hunger Games reference made me laugh :roflmao:)
