Starting to freak out a little

I live in CA and ugh don't have the early results option. I admit I was less than thrilled when the PVT stopped working 3 days before my test but it wasn't a big deal. I thought this would certainly be better than waiting for the mailman like I did with my LVN.

I took my test Tuesday with 2 of my classmates. None of us have shown up on line yet. What's starting to freak me out are the posts by other people also in California who took the test days after we did and have their names up on breeze.

I hate my BON. What the heck?! I can't believe all 3 of us could have failed. Not to brag but I was 3rd in my class and the other person was 4th. BOTH of us could not have failed.

This seriously just sucks. I can't understand why my board is so horrendously inconsistent.

I'm not in Cali, so I cannot add much in the way of definitive information, however in my state the same board that licenses RNs and PNs also license every other imaginable professional. I took my test on a Tuesday, found out I passed on a Thursday and most of my classmates who took the test on the Monday before me showed up on the BON the next day so I was a little concerned that my license had not come up. I called BON to be sure there was not a problem and I was told that they only reviewed nursing on Tuesdays--other days were for veterinarians and CPAs, etc. They also told me that they could only license xx number of nurses every Tuesday due to time constraints and therefore "if not next Tuesday, it will appear the following week". Not real helpful when every application I wished to fill out required a license number!

So the hold up could just be that the BON is slow, overwhelmed, and not doing nursing this week! Don't freak out yet!

One trick that I have heard about in states that do not do quick results is to call BON and ask for a new ATT. They will most likely refuse to give you one if you passed.

Thanks but our is dedicated to RNs. They are notoriously a mess though. But I will call on Tuesday and try the att thing. Can't hurt.

Hang in there. You are not alone! The waiting for CA stinks, we all know this....but at least you can kill some waiting time here :)

You're three hours earlier than my time zone; I'd say you're well within the time frame for some pino noir :)

ETOH is not the answer. But it sure staves off alot of questions! :D

I tested august 22nd in California and have not heard nothing from the board either. You're not alone.

I took 8/25 and nothing yet. my classmate also took on 8/25 and his name was on bon in 3 days.

NO- everyday I check the mail and check brn breeze multiple times a day. and still nothing. this Friday marks 4 weeks!

We are in the same boat. I seriously don't understand the whole hold up. Is easy to generate a letter since is all computer base and send a notification. I don't like how I have to put my life on hold while this waiting game. I just want to move on, this wait has been the hardest for me. Good luck to us & I really hope we find results this week. @nursesabina
