shut off on 80, NCLEX PN and passed? Is it possible?

I have a friend of mine that who took nclex PN here in california few weeks ago, and she said that, her questions stops on 80 and she got the "good pop up" after PVT. And I'm so skeptical if she's telling the truth. Coz I know minimum for nclex PN is 85 and max of 205. Do you think guys it's possible to her to passed the exam on 80 questions? And I think she did not know how to do the PVT coz I told her it's a new way how to do the trick now. And she don't want me to show her "good pop up".

It's impossible. There is no way competency or incompetency was determined before the required minimum of 85. She must have misread the question counter or maybe just doesn't want to tell you anything
