Pharm on NCLEX?

Nursing Students NCLEX

For those of you who passed your NCLEX, how much pharm did you have on it? Pharm is my weak subject and I am trying to study it a little bit at a time in prep for my boards, but it feels less important than answering practice questions.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I have had a lot of pharm on my exams, I am a repeat test taker! It seems no matter what meds I study whether its prefixes, suffixes or contraindications it doesn't help! The types of questions I had was "which prescription would you question?" And it would list four different medication with four different types of patients! Very hard, so I would do some research as to which meds are commonly tested, that's the best advice I can give. Good luck!!!

I took nclex RN today and had 1 questions regarding pharm. I was state and nationally certified pharmacy tech so I didn't really study meds.

Ive taken it 3 times and actually had minimal pharm. Hoping to get my results for the third go soon! Good luck!

My sister reported to me that she had a few, and she'd never heard of any of them.

I wouldnt go too crazy about it, but definately learn the categories (olol, pril, ''ide") and their respective considerations.

I think I had maybe one. They definitely don't expect you to have an extensive knowledge of pharmacology to pass.

I took test today had 1 HTN med and loop diuretics and a question on questioning the orders Good Luck I felt beat up and stupid coming out of that test today with 136 questions felt like I was guessing :((

I had one pharm question and it was pretty basic

I had 1 pharm question..Basically as the above mentioned " Which med would you question?"

I didn't get many pharm questions on my exam but lots of delegation and prioritization stuff.

I am also trying to find a way to study drugs/meds, I usually write down the ones I'm not familiar with while taking practice tests and go over them after. I heard that the exam includes either generic or trade name and not the two together. I wonder if it's true....good luck!!

I had 5 drug questions and only one I hadn't heard of. I believe that it was a chemotherapy drug by looking at the answer choices. The other 4 were very familiar and the questions were fairly basic. Know the common classifications and the suffixes of those drugs.
