Here are the exact steps to see if you passed the NCLEX exam on the Pearson Vue web site. Nursing Students NCLEX Article

  1. Did you get the good pop up and passed?

  1. Go to NCLEX Examinations :: Pearson VUE.
  2. Select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.
  3. Click 'register' on the right side.
  4. Click the 'credit card' link.
  5. Click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.
  6. Enter your username.
  7. Enter your password.
  8. Click the button.
  9. Click 'register' on the left side.
  10. Select your test type.
  11. Click the button.
  12. Select your country.
  13. Click the button.
  14. Answer the yes/no questions.
  15. Select your country again.
  16. Select your state.
  17. Type in your city.
  18. Click the button. a list of schools should appear.
  19. Select your school.
  20. Select the month and year of your graduation.
  21. Select your board of nursing.
  22. Click the button.

Very important: At this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; it just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc.

This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'Records indicates you have recently registered for this test please contact BON. An appointment cannot be scheduled at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your Pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick.

"There appears to be several versions of the good pop-up."

My pop-up was something to the effects to "you are already schedule, contact your people, blah, blah." Don't really remember. But I have not been taken to the payment screen ever.

I took NCLEX RN last Monday. Did the the trick, got the good pop up. I have been checking BRN website for my name and nothing. Had a friend take it last Thursday and her name is up on the BRN website. ***** I have feel nothing but despair. I ran out of time but made it through 230 questions. Had SATA every 5 - 10 questions and three math questions. I feel that I passed but why isn't my name posted on the BRN and as if today, I still cannot reregister? I took the exam in Orange County, CA.

CA has had a computer glitch, pearson vue and the states computers are communicating. I took mine on the 11th and it hasnt posted yet. A girl ive been talking with just got hers after taking it two weeks ago. Dont worry too much yet, theres a few of us in your shoes.

I'm going crazy, and I know I shouldn't, but this waiting is making me nuts! I took the NCLEX on Aug.11th in Visalia, CA, and got the blue screen after 75 question. I did the pearson vue trick as soon as I got out and everyday since then and still continue to get the "Good pop up" but my name hasn't shown up on the CA BRN website :( the PVT is the only thing that is keeping my hopes up, but why is it taking so long? I've called Pearson Vue, they have confirmed that they sent my results on the 13th to the CA BRN, and they won't tell or hint a thing as to whether or not I failed or passed. I've called the CA BRN they said my application is complete and that they have all my transcripts, and the woman I keep talking to, who could really care less about helping me, just says I'll be getting a letter in the mail in 2-3 weeks with my results, does this mean I've failed? I'm so distraught, and keep reading about people who've taken the test after me and now see their name posted on the BRN site, which makes me believe that the PVT does NOT really work. I wish I knew what the hold up is.....really "dislike" their non participation in the quick results system. All my Nursing school friends from Denver have all passed and are getting results in two days! I wish I knew why it was so hard for California :-/ Sorry for the long vent :( Words of encouragement or insight on the situation is welcome.

It works! I took mine on the 8th got the good pop up the same day and got my official letter today.

I took mine on August 8th and continue to get the good pop up... I called BRN and just getting through to the operator was ridiculous. I told her my story and she forwarded me to who ever's in charge of my file. They of course did not pick up so I had to leave a voice mail. They never called me back (shocker) and so the wait continues. This is the second time taking NCLEX and last time I got to CC page within 30 minutes of finishing exam. I think CA just has a disorganized system because there's some people waiting for weeks and others getting results within three days. I think all of us having to wait just have to cling to what history of PVT has shown us and know that since we're getting the "good pop up" to know we are going to get the good news eventually...

Yes!!! It DOES work!!!Tested Monday 8/21, shut off at 75, I'm thinking it was really hard and I either did great or I sucked so bad that the computer gave up on me...Did the PVT about 2 hours after I finished testing. Got the old, good pop up " Our records indicate you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact the Member Board for assistance. Another registration can not be made at this time.". Almost died so happy I was, but still scared that it would change on me or something... Kept trying again several times on Tuesday and yesterday. At the same time I also tried to see if the results were available and also kept checking the BON to see if my license was posted. Today, 8/23 Thursday, at 8:30 am, checked Pearson and still the same good pop up, still showing results not available... Ugh!! Check the BON and FIND MY NAME WITH MY NEW LICENSE NUMBER!!!It works guys! Thank you, Jesus, it's over!Gotta change my login name now ;)

Congrats CMLPN, I'm glad it worked for you, was it your LPN or RN? Must be great relief to know!!! Yeah!!!! If it's LPN I wonder if that's why you heard so soon, I'm still waiting for my RN to find my name on the website and I took it on the 11th and still getting th good pop up from Pearson Vue.2bgr8tnurse- thanks for your story, im trying to stay positive I guess I'm a little freaked because if this pvt doesn't work and I did actually fail, I lose my interim permit and the new job I just got and started last week- now wouldn't that just suck! Especially in this job market:-/

Wow congrats 2BJenurse! You already have a job! I'm jealous...I think you should place a call to the BRN because I think a little push will help your cause. I called the first time yesterday and today I'm on the BRN. Don't worry the PVT is true!!!
