I took nclex-rn today with 85 questions. I felt like it wasn't that hard. I thought there was a good chance I passed (I took the HESI for practice and got 810).

I tried the PVT and it takes me to the credit card screen without a popup. I am devastated and crying. I can't function. I had good grades. I thought I would pass. I'm so sad.

Take a deep breath. Although the Pearson Vue Trick is fairly reliable there are incidences of it being wrong-- really, google it! Just wait until you get the official results. If you used Kaplan or Hurst then there is a "first-time pass" guarantee--- use that to your advantage. And you can always take the NCLEX again. This is not the end for you. I know it's hard to relax, but just take deep breaths and take this time to mentally and emotionally soothe yourself. I'll keep you in my prayers! You can do it!!

I posted this on another thread about the PVT, but I'll repeat it here:A representative from the State Board of Nursing came to speak to my nursing class about the NCLEX and licensing process. I believe that her job is to serve as the liaison between the testing board and the state board of nursing, because she mentioned that as part of her job she sits for the NCLEX several times a year. According to her, the Pearson Vue trick is always reliable if you get the pop-up that prevents you from re-registering. She said that the only reason that it would proceed to the credit card screen and give a false-negative would be if your testing session had been flagged for a review by the testing board. For example, if you or someone else who was testing during your session was suspected of cheating and Pearson Vue was reviewing the video and audio tapes of your session, you might get the credit card screen, implying that you failed, because your passing result hasn't automatically been released by the system. She stressed that this would be very unusual, and that we should pretty much trust the results of the Pearson Vue trick.

I know it's upsetting to you, anyone would be distraught. Don't get too down on yourself, though. Just remember that when you're applying for jobs, no one will ask you how many times it took for you to pass the NCLEX. Nobody will ever know. Although it'll be a huge pain now, it won't seriously affect your career. Find out what areas you need to work on, and tailor your study habits to improve those areas. The PVT might be wrong, but it usually isn't. Either way, one minor (in the scheme of things) set back is no reason to beat yourself up!

Awesome Info Matsalleh. Thanks!!!!

I am new to AllNurses but wanted to inquire about the validity of the PV Ttrick. I did the PV trick today after finishing the NCLEX RN in 75 Qs and having the it say Delivery Successful. I had about 20 SATA, priority, EKGs, pharm, conference type Qs, etc. I got the good pop up. Is this a good sign?

Yes! That means you passed!

Congrats!!!

Thank you Bri. Btw I am sorry to the poster above. I didn't read your post, I just saw PV Trick. I just recently read it can be wrong. Make sure it says delivery successful before you do it. God bless.
