Ok, I originally took the nclex-rn in September 2015, I did the trick and ended up paying the $200 fee again. I just reapplied to take the test again but I'm scared to put in my credit card info, because I do not want to be charged the $200 AGAIN. Anyone been through this particular scenario? I tried entering my credit card info with one wrong number and it rejected it, so that didn't work.

Specializes in HH, Peds, Rehab, Clinical.

My advice is to wait a couple of days and check your states Bon for a license number

Just use a card with a low balance. I did it today with a debit card that had nothing on it and I got the good pop up. :) Hope this helps!

the credit card number has to be right. you change the expiration date. for example if your card expires Sept 2016, just change it to October 2016. I also put the wrong security code just in case it might charge and PVT worked for me when I did it. no additional $200 charge

ALL of the posts here regarding PVT have vague or less accurate or detailed instructions. One individual posted a somewhat detailed way on how to do the PVT, but a lot of comments still showed different or varied actions made, such as doing it IMMEDIATELY after taking the test..or doing it around the same time you took the test but the following day.

I personally think this is just a glitch that a lot of people think to be true...they simply passed.

I have also read posts claiming that they got the "good pop-up", only to receive a letter that they failed. I suggest you just wait for the official result and not even risk paying again..like you did in the past. Good luck to you.
