Passed NCLEX-RN using Saunders

Nursing Students NCLEX

I purchased the new Saunders NCLEX-RN book from Amazon.com, here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/Saunders-Comprehensive-NCLEX-RN®-Examination-Nclex-Rn/dp/1455727555. The cost of the book was about $65 at the time of my purchase. After I logged onto the website using the book's access code, I did the 75 question assessment test and got a six week study plan based on my exam score. I followed the study plan in the order it was presented. I read the ENTIRE book, yes all 77 chapters and did all questions in the book. I studied faithfully for a total of 7 weeks. I finished my study plan a week early, which allowed me to focus on practice questions. The website contains over 5000 questions and I completed about 2000. I increased my number of questions each day for a week before my exam for example: 125, 135, 180, 200, and 265. I did not study the day before my exam.

In my humble opinion, I believe the Saunders book and questions help you to understand, remember, and retain all you need to know to pass NCLEX-RN. I find that sticking to one resource worked best for me. Using Saunders made NCLEX-RN a breeze for me and I passed my NCLEX-RN in 75 questions.

Yes, I am already aware that everyone is different and simply wanted to share my story with someone as it may help him or her.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! Blessings to you on your NCLEX journey!

Hi Jaes!! Congratulations to you!! I am so thankful to hear this because I have the new purple saunders book and am studying religiously. How did you handle the SATA? Was Saunder's SATA helpful to practice in comparison to the NCLEX SATA? And this was the only source you used? Wow! Kudos for reading the whole thing! This is inspiring!

Thank you! :) Because I was well versed on my content using after Saunders, the SATA didn't phase me at all. It was easy to select only the correct options from the answer choices. Remember that on SATA questions you can select 2, 3, or 4 options, but usually not all options. Yes, this was the only resource I used. It takes patience to read the whole book but I saved a ton of money and it was worth it since I passed. @laura09

My professor, who writes questions for the NCLEX said SATA would never be only 1 answer, either. ?

You're welcome! Good luck on your studying and NCLEX success. @laura09

I'm unsure. I haven't used any of Lippincotts resources.
