NCLEX-RN MAY 2015! Mississippi

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

So took my NCLEX-RN today, I've visited this site numerous of times everyday since graduation which was May 9,2015 and trust me I've been one ball of nerves since scheduling my date.

I attending a community college with a fairly high (98%) pass rate! During the program we used ATI and Sylvia Rayfield 'Made Insanely Easy' products - which included the Rayfield Review and Virtual ATI at the end of the program! While preparing for the NCLEX I studied a lot and I PRAYED A LOT because I knew I needed God to be by my side!

The products I used included:

*Hurst Review notebook (I'm a broke college student so I used my sister's notebook from when she took the Hurst Review)

*Free 2-week trial from Lippincott PassPoint

*Sylvia Rayfield NCLEX-RN: 101 (love the questions)

*Of course, ATI!

*Also I used the free 65 questions from NCLEX Mastery (I did not buy the full app... I'm broke) lol!

I went into that testing area with baby butterflies but feeling confident, when I sat at the computer I wrote one of my favorite verses on the white board they give out (Luke 1:37), prayed & hit the road running!

My NCLEX shut off at 75 questions - I freaked the freak OUT! A plethora of SATAs and D&Ds, 1 EKG question, and 1 calculation question - so either I failed horribly or I completely kicked that test's butt (and I'm leaning towards the latter)! I prayed & prayed before, during, and after that test. (Luke 1:37, Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 20:4 - my verses I stood on during prep and testing)

Yes I tried the PVT (I couldn't help myself) - got the GOOD POP-UP but of course I'm still nervous!

Hopefully I will see a license number in the morning (I live in Mississippi & they're fairly quick with putting up results)! Goodbye LPN & hellooooooooo RN:yes:

Congrats....my verse that I wrote on the top of my white board was Joshua 1:9 and my computer shut off at 75 and I looked like a deer in headlights....but I passed! I accepted a position today! I am beyond myself for God has shown Himself mighty in my life...

Do you think Passpoint helped?

Hey That's awesome! I really like the idea of writing a bible verse down! I think I will do that too for encouragement.

I would also like to know if passpoint helped and if the practice exams were at all like the real thing. Thanks. And congrats sounds like you have this in the bag!

Qteapi, thank you! I'm overwhelmed myself, it's so surreal! God did that thing for me!!!

Lupe & nursepeaches: I enjoyed using the free trial but I only took two 75 question NCLEX practice exams - I felt like I knew nothing while taking PassPoint exams and had a 7.5 on one and 8.0 on the other so that speaks for itself, I think it's great idea to do question though especially if you have your content down! NCLEX itself was a very straight to the point exam ... no fluff and congestion!

ATI was my main source and it definitely contributed to my strategies for NCLEX!

No fluff or congestion-that's very reassuring! Your passpoint scores are similar to mine so also reassuring! Thanks for sharing :)
