Nclex RN February 2017

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Welcome, I enjoyed viewing the January 2017 Topic. This post is for all those who are taking their NCLEX RN in February. Please share how you guys are doing with your review? What materials are you using? Lets do the same and encourage each other. Thanks

How did it go

I am taking mine Friday (2/3). I did all of the UWorld questions and ended with 90th percentile overall and 96th percentile for the SIM but still so worried that I am going to get questions that I have no idea what they are talking about.

I am from Virginia. Just wanted to share my timeline:

Graduated: 12/15/2016

Got my ATT: 01/11/17

NCLEX RN: 02/03/17 at 8@, shut at 75 at 9:20@

PVT: 02/03/17 at 10@ = good pop up (still going crazy though until official results)

What I did to study:

- Notes from nursing school (review by systems)

- UWorld 2-months subscription. Finished the whole bank with 61% and went up to 71% after doing all incorrect. Self-assessment test was 68%.

It was the hardest test of my life. The content was something that is taught in every nursing med-surg book, and it was very random. To tell you the truth, it's all about knowledge. If you have a strong knowledge foundation, you will find this test easy. Well, I felt I did horrible because I felt like I studied this information too long ago. I was thinking to myself during the test, "we covered this in 2nd semester, and that in 3rd semester" but I just felt like I didn't remember the details to feel confident to answer the questions. On top, there were diseases we didn't cover in nursing school.

Taking the test on Friday was a big mistake as we don't have quick results in VA and board is closed on a weekend. So this waiting game is just killing me.

On a positive note, it's done! I will keep you posted when I know the official results. Good luck to everyone who has taken or about to take the test!

I took the nclex today and did the pvt trick. This is what I got, "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time." This is the good pop up right?!!

Oleacronon, yes that's the good pop up. Congrats RN!!!

I still can't believe it. The test was so difficult. I left feeling like a had failed. I'll be at ease once I get my officials results

I have been studying since the end of Dec/start of Jan, taken Hurst in class.

Been doing U World for a few weeks now, I have about 200 questions left with a average in the 92nd percentile overall will be taking my SIM next week. I am worried with my average only being at 67% overall but in the 92nd percentile, it seems low to me.

I have been making q cards off of each question I got wrong to try and understand the material better.

How is the 92nd percentile average overall?

I am writing on the 14th of this month.

Sounds like you are doing well. My overall QBank % in UWorld is 60.5% and I've been utilizing UWorld since Jan 7. I took the self-assessment sim on Jan 20 and achieved 69% placing me in the 94th percentile. If you are in the 92nd percentile for just your QBank alone, I think you are in a very good position to pass. You'll probably get a great score on your sim.

Good luck!

I passed! My unofficial results came 49 hours after I took my test. PVT works!

Thank you, Convex! I'm feeling good! :)

Hello,

I took my NCLEX yesterday in Staten island, NY. My test stopped at 75 questions. Went home. waited a few hours and did the PVT. I put in the wrong expiration and I received an email saying they charges my CC $200. I received another email saying I have to wait for a new ATT after my BON approves.

Does that mean I failed?

Thank you for your time to read my comment

Thank you, I am planning on taking my SIM tomorrow an focusing on my weak points for my last week

So I took my nclex feb 3rd, I posted about my experience and it was really bad. Anyway, I did the PVT many times now and I keep getting the good pop up almost 3 days later. Don't know what to think, I want to believe, but just can't. Good luck to everyone who has yet to take the NCLEX, have confidence.
