NCLEX-PN Pearson Vue Trick

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I just took the NCLEX-PN (October 28,2013) at 8am and took all 205-questions with an hour to spare. I was confident that I would pass in one try and felt like I failed when I took all 205-questions...A classmate of mine took the exam before me and he also took all 205-questions and advised me to try the Pearson Vue Trick (PVT). He told me that he tried it and wasn't able to re-register (which is a sign that he passed, which he did). He told me that if I was unable to re-register for the exam, it is a clear sign that I passed. As soon as I got home, I tried the PVT and was taken to the Credit Card (cc) screen, which is a sign that I have failed...I am now beating myself up and lost all hope that this career isn't for me when I have sacrificed so much and put my heart and soul into it...My question is, has anyone gotten to the cc screen and still passed the exam?? Please help calm my nerves and restore faith that this is the career for me...

Have u heard of that happening before? People passed but got charged $200?

Yes. At least 3 posted on this forum. There are also 2-3 that didn't have to pay but in fact failed the NCLEX. You agreed to the charge & terms of service. by hitting submit. You have zero chance of getting a credit or refund as even if you passed you broke the rules by submitting a duplicate registration.

Based on current posting it's 50/50 if you passed or failed depending on when you tried the "trick". So either you are now registered for another attempt or you donated $200 to Pearson Vue. Either way you need to wait for BVNPT to get the results and mail them to you. If you passed you are instructed how to pay for your license. If you failed you are told how to apply for another attempt.

Im in cali so no quick results.im just hearing that if it charged you, that means u failed.i cried so bad.but started thinking that maybe i didnt wait long enough to try the "trick" im so lost..its gonna be a loong 3wks,but already expecting i failed :( if it so happens that i passed..i was thinking of disputing the $200 and having my bank waive it..any thoughts if this will affect me and pearson in the long run?regarding my license or future services?

You will lose the dispute as the terms of no duplicate registrations & no refunds are abundantly clear before you not only submit your info but confirm you agree to the refund policy and ToS. Expensive lesson for a moderately accurate trick.

yes it true i did it on monday after ny test got cc page put my info in click submit n it stop me. another person did test same day got cc page put her inf in got charge n failed. so new pvt must enter cc info all the way if u pass u get pop ip if u fail u get charge 200.00

And if you do any of this prior to a full 24 hours after completion of your test, it means absolutely nothing (and you might just lose $200 for nothing).

Please read all the information posted here about how the exam is scored, and how the PVT 'works' with that.

It's Russian Roulette with a credit card if you do it too early.

Thanks so much for the feedback.i feel so horrible and stupid,i let my emotions take over..i waited the full 24hrs to try my card and it charged..im hoping it takes 48hrs to grade exam,i shouldve waited atleast 48hours.now im thinking i should keep stidying until results come in 3weeks.cuz if i dont, and find out i failed..i feel like i wasted so much time

I took my nclex pn 4 days ago and doubt that i passed because it accepted my money 24hrs after exam..which leaves me questioning my ability to even pass it. I went to nursing school for half the program and had to stop becausw i couldnt afford paying for it myself..then i continued almost 3yrs later to finish it off, when i finally had enough money. I knew i needed more time to study for nclex compared to my classmates. I waited 8months after grad to take my exam and i think i failed..is it even possible for me to pass? Can sum1 like me study enough material (reviews/questions) to make up for lost time?im jus starting to doubt everything

im goin crazy right now! took the exam last nov 19 and stopped @125, till now ive gotten any result yet, and i dont have the guts to do the pvt trick. :-( .. can somebody tell me if they knew someone that stopped @ 125 passed or failed?

Yes. People pass and they also fail at every single number from the minimum ot the maximum. 125 is no different, it's just the number at which the computer determined you had either demonstrated competence....or incompetence.

At this point, the PVT would be your best indicator (ELEVEN days since you tested, yes?). Are Quick Results not available in your State? If not.... you'll have to wait for official results.

thank you! i guess ill just make myself busy while waiting for the final result!!! thinking about the pvt trick everyday makes me more crazy!!!

im in cali by the wway :-)
