NCLEX-PN.. over a YEAR later

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Graduated from a PN program in Jan. 2014 .. (I felt like I was pushed thru the program, and have no clue what I actually LEARNED). Did not take exam as steps seemed overwhelming (background check, application, etc.) Also, I felt I was not ready, as a nurse I would hurt someone making a small mistake.

So - I've self studied, registered for a $200 NCLEX review class and now feel ready to take the next step.

HOWEVER .. the OVERWHELMED process has begun again ! (background check, application, etc.)

ANY advice??

Has anyone else waited this long to take boards?? Did I wait TOO long??

Well for me I waited for over 1 to 2 yrs. Graduated in 2012 take first test in 2014 nclex is not my friend. Still at it until I pass now 2015...two unsuccessful try's at it. Now I got to get done in 2015. Hard at it.... Using nclex mastery...on Ipad ...

There was a poster on here who took her NCLEX 10 YEARS after graduating nursing school. She passed.

Yeah I hope that happens for me also.

It took me ten months from graduating until I finally took my test. I didn't feel ready and my school required us to get "green-lit" in ATI in order for them to pay for our test (they told me that I if I wasn't 'green-lit' I wouldn't pass NCLEX but I never even finished the program and passed!) I purchased many review books, NCLEX Mastery App, studied with ATI (mainly for the exams and to get practice for the test) and looked over my notes. Trust me, if you study hard you can pass. Look up Kaplan Nursing NCLEX Text plan videos - those helped me understand the test and better prepare. It also calmed my nerves, weirdly enough. I'm certain you can do it!
