Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi guys, I'm so sad... i took the nclex today and i sat for 5 hours and finished 205 questions..I rushed the last 20 questions because time was running short. I tried the pop up trick but nothing came up. I'm so sad. This is my 2nd time taking the exam. I had so many SATA and subject relating to alzheimer and DM. Do you guys know of anyone or heard of anyone finishing 205 questions with no good pop up that passed? I'm so depressed, i know my mom is sad too which makes it worst..

So you got the Credit Card screen?

Sent from my iPhone using allnurses

Yes i got that cc screen. I had lots of satas, alzheimer, and dm... I'm so frustrated

I am sorry not a good sign . I wish you luck

Don't give up b strong

You can only go forward from here. I would wait and see if you passed or not.

If you did not pass, and you have the opportunity to take the test again, I would suggest that you do a few things--if you have a learning disability that you are not able to focus well, then you can speak with your LPN school guidance counselor about accommodations for more time to take the test.

If you do not have this, then I would suggest taking a test prep course. When the test is 2 correct answers but one is more correct, it can be confusing. And on that note, do NOT change answers--go with your gut. Read the question at face value, no "what if's", no reading into the question--just at face value only.

If you can, I would suggest joining or starting a study group among your classmates who may not have taken test, have taken it and not passed, or with a new crop of graduates.

Some people do not test well. Not a reflection of future practice. You should have your hands on as many test books that you can. Take a test, grade it, and see where it is that you have to brush up on--focus most of your studying on those things. Make notecards and carry them with you. Snippets of information an hour here and there would maybe work better for you than 3 hour cram sessions.

Best of luck going forward. Oh, and I would also see if you can audit any classes as you are a graduate of the LPN school. In your testing if you find there are weak points for you that you do not understand the rationale, that would be the class I would sit in on, take notes, and review.

Finally, there are a number of LPN teachers who would be more than happy to private tutor as well. Your school is a great resource.

thanks for the encouragement guys. not to make it sound any worst, my dad just passed away a few months ago and it just makes it worst letting my mom down. i will keep pushing. i just need guidance. Some have told me to check up on kaplan. I appreciate you guys' encouragements. i believe failing will only make me want it more and make me a better nurse. It just so depressing and frustrating that i have to wait longer.

Trust me I do understand how you feel...First off you have to get a study plan together. I failed in March for my nclex-pn and now I can retake it , it's been 45 days. I been looking over my results and doing questions here and there. I want to be prepared better this time. I have a plan in action for force on nclex stuff to 2 to 3 hours a day. When I get ready I will retest but not until then. I also brought a timer to set my time. Good luck with everything!!
