NCLEX ipad app

Yea there are so many...just type in nclex in the App Store...the lippincott app are free and they have a Kaplan qbank with questions...

I've actually bought a lot of the apps and I have to say: BE CAREFUL because you could be buying the same questions twice. For example, Saunders has a great app for the iphone but mostly all the questions are the same from te Saunders Nclex review book and cd. The same goes for lipincott iPad app where you buy each section individually (questions are the same as their QA book).

Aside from that warning, here are my apps:

Saunders - iPhone only but you could use it on your iPad, good but same questions as book and CD. Layout is annoying because if the question is longer then 3 lines, you have to tap the question for the box to expand.

Lipincott - good but same as book and CD. I do use this app the most because you can just buy alternative format questions.

NCLEX QB - the most basic barebone questions

Davis NCLEX. This may still be on sale for 5 dollars. Pretty good questions. Crashes on occasion.

Davis NCLEX prioritization- I bought this because it was on sale. Good practice. Occasionally crashes.

Runaway, good analysis of the apps. I would agree with everything except I haven't had crashing problems with Davis. But you are right that they are the same as the corresponding book. I would also like to add:

NCLEX Mastery: New app, lots of free questions. questions are as good as any resource but easier to use and prioritize your studying. Also, there are some memory tricks and mnemonics.

NCLEX (by Ion Citadel): Basic/ordinary and inaccurate answers.

NCSBN: Seem a little easy, but the app is easy to use

ATI: Quality questions, but call me a nerd, I like an app that works smoothly and easily. This app does not

Can anyone else add anything?

Jamie, I agree that NCLEX Mastery is the best, ATI is really good too (just doesn't look as good).

I have never been impressed with most of the "top" listed apple apps for NCLEX

Ok, after taking the NCLEX, two apps have helped me the most.

Davis NCLEX Prioritization: Because it's all prioritization, delegation, and assessment questions!! The questions are easier then La Charity's PDA book but it's just good practice.

Lipincott's Alternative Format Questions: I felt like this program was the only way I could get practice strictly on alternative format questions by itself. I wish I practiced more back to back alternative questions without getting the results because I had a lot of those on my test.
