hey guys well im new to this website and i just wanted to tell you my story and why i am extremely scared of the nclex. i graduated LPN school August 2011 and being a resident of california makes it even better (sarcasm) i waited 4 months to get my board papers and being discouraged the result of that was me studying a very minimal amount. i feel like i have forgotten everything that i learned in LPN school :(..

my school has the ATI predictor exit exam and i did pretty well i got and 80% with a 99% pass rate for the NCLEX ....with all that time passed i dont know if that even applies to me anymore

ive been studying for 3-6 hours a day now starting the last weeks of december and i guess ijust need some guidance and some confidence put back into me

im terrified of failing and never passing the nclex!! THAT IS MY BIGGEST FEAR ...is the nclex really that hard? i need some insight !!! thanks! BTW i scheduled my nclex for feb 10th itll give me enough time to finish this Saunders Book and the questions on the CD i also bought exam cram and that kaplan test strategies book:uhoh3::bluecry1::uhoh21:

Hi Clueless28,

I did my reviews in October-November, took and passed NCLEX, November 19th. I'm sorry if I was unclear in my previous statements, but using Hurst review and doing all of those questions really made all the difference for me personally :nurse:

Am not sure if getting 47/75 on the 3500 questions is a good or bad thing people....any ideas

you should really reschedule it to the 4th luv.....take some time to do some questions atleast your head will be back in the game give your self a little time to study atleast 100 questions a day!....

I agree that was a great book to do review (PDA by LaCharity), it went over the main and basic concepts AND it was a thin, non overwhelming book. Just purely questions from each subject and it helps to narrow down your weak spots. At first the questions were a little hard, but after a while it became easier. This and using the saunders CD for ?'s in my weak areas. Don't become overloaded with what is available out there.. or try to figure out which one is the best. Keep it simple. Easier said than done, but that was the trap I was in until I just told myself just do this don't think about what other material will be better.

Passed in 75.

Also do as many SATA ?'s available, it's a great time saver and you learn more from this type of question than a single answer question.

Great book for that SATA by Saunders.
