LVN Exam in California

Moved to NCLEX Exam information. NCLEX-PN is the same exam for all US States and US territories. The issue with using a NCLEX-RN book is that some of the material is more than required knowledge for a PN/VN, and some of the practice items are not within the delegation of an LPN or scope of practice for a LPN/LVN.

And yes, there are alternate format questions on the NCLEX-PN also (hot spot, drag and drop, auditory, select all that apply).

Some questions on the NCLEX-RN won't appear on the NCLEX-PN such as ECG interpretation and RN delegation or prioritization to LPNs/CNAs/UAPs

Hi allnurses, I'd like to know what kind of questions does th LVN Exam in California contain? Is there drag and drop order, hotspots etc..? Or jus multiple choice questions only? And if I were to read the NCLEX-RN Saunders 5th (yellow cover) would it cover enough for the LVN content review? Thank you for guys replies in advance! :)

Hi NCLEX-PN have the same type of questions like NCLEX-RN too.When I took my exam last march I had a lot of prioritization,sata,hot spot,drag and drop,charting case and a few ecg interpretation,positioning,and meds. I didnt used Saunders RN instead I used the Nclex-PN exam prep.:)

What are the proper steps for the Board of Nursing in CA for the LVN board to transfer my requirements?
