Kaplan Trainer Scores - Nclex in 3 weeks!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Okay, so I am freaking out! I take my NCLEX on June 15th and so far these are my Kaplan scores:

Qbank with 100% of the questions completed: 55%

QT1: 57.3

QT2: 58.7

QT3: 45.0

QT4: 53.3

QT5: 53.3

Diagnostic: 51.1 taken before any of the trainers

Saving QT 6 and 7 for next week. What should I do? Are my scores good enough to pass? Should I reschedule?

Take the readiness test and see if you can get closer to 60%. You can call Kaplan and get the diagnostic unlocked to take it again as well.

My scores were about 5% higher than yours and my diagnostic was 55 the first time and 79 the second time and I passed, but my trainers were showing a steady improvement over time and I would be a little concerned that yours are not. You can reschedule without penalty up until the Monday before the test, so you have plenty of time. Keep doing questions and see how it's going on the 12th.

I scored a 73.3 on the readiness

That is a truly awesome score!! You may just be ready after all. I think that's something like a 99% chance of passing NCLEX!

So my Kaplan instructor told everyone in my class that the nclex is made so people fail about half so if you're getting a 60% you're not just doing well, but extremely well! She said anything above a 55% is really good. I got a score in the high 50's on the first one, then a 60%, and just took q3 today and was feeing bad because I only got a 48%. But I don't even graduate for 2 weeks, so luckily have time. I also make sure I review all the answers and understand why I got them right and wrong and I keep a running list of things to review, or at least read over in Kaplan or my nclex review book.

But you're still doing well! Also, my class was also told that the beginning question trainers are more not passing level nclex questions (aka content questions) and only by question trainers 4 and above are they 100% all passing level nclex questions (more like clinical judgment questions and applying content). So if you notice your scores going down after the first 3 question trainers, keep that in mind.

Thank you, guys! I'm just a bundle of nerves I guess! I've been studying like no other but I don't really want to overdo it either.
