I wanted some insight from those of you that have recently taken the NCLEX-RN and those of you who are also studying. How do your scores on practice exams compare to mine?

Here is a list of what I have done thus far:

Between the two books (Kaplan and LaCharity) I have done 895 (funny it comes out to be such an even number) questions.

I take my exam next Tuesday and will be starting exam cram (the book) tonight.

Feel free to share your scores! :twocents:

PS -- I am sure someone will chime in and say not to rely on the scores...this is in no way me or anyone else who would like to share their scores relying on them. To me, its a way to keep somewhat sane throughout this quite insane preparation process. :uhoh3:

how long did it take you to do both books.? I just ordered these. Did u like these resources?

I have been studying at a pretty slow pace, about 50-60 questions a day. I cant seem to sit down and knock out more then one chapter at a time. It took me about 3 weeks to complete both books, I also took a day off every now and then. They could both, depending on your study style, be completed in about a week and a half.

Haven't taken the exam yet but your kaplan scores are phenomenal. You seem very ready. How did you prepare for content review?

Is your kaplan grades from the kaplan course review or from a kaplan book? I can barely get 65% in the kaplan review course.

My Kaplan scores are from the book, I didn't take the class because I felt I could get the same thing by just reading the book (from conversation I have had with fellow classmates, I did the right thing). Suprisingly I havent reviewed any content thus far...those scores are strictly me just doing questions. I am a pretty good test-taker though and I did pretty good throughout nursing school. I am reviewing content now by reading the exam cram book.

Thanks for your input!

My LaCharity scores were mostly in the 60's and I just passed today with 75 questions!!

Good LaCharity scores!! I have gotten 60-70's.

I am bombing Davis's Q & A.. so frustrating!! Wish I had exam cram. I only have Saunders. Too much to get through!

I'm only on the first chapter of exam cram (pharmocology) and thus far it is doing a great job breaking down the major drug catorgories and giving S/E and easy ways to remember them (Pril = ACE Inhib, Olol = Beta Blockers).

Thanks for your input!
