Is it voodo or curse

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I don't believe in curse but I believe someone jings me or something because I am the only that didn't pass in class yet since 2008. I believe God can break that curse. I need lots of prayer from everyone.

In my state, the OP wouldn't be allowed to test again without a refresher course. There's a 4 try/4 year regulation.

Something is going wrong. At 5 years (or close to it) post-graduation, there is no way you are still at the same level as fresh new grads.

Is English you first language? In not trying to be rude or anything, but if it is not, you may also benefit from some English classes. Sometimes I'll see someone in here complaining about not passing, but they obviously don't have a grasp of English morphology. How can you expect to pass a test like the NCLEX if you barely understand the language it's written in.

No english is my first language, it doesn't have anything to do with the school because everyone pass and it's a good school.

I completely agree. And this advice has been given to them time and time again, and they continue to say that they do not need a refresher course, which baffles me.

X factor *********************** your not making any better.

the op has said numerous times that they paid to go to school and get a bsn and they don't need a refresher course.

If all you want is prayer, seek religious counsel. This forum is about test taking strategies, books, programs, refresher courses, etc.

If you won't take a refresher course

if you won't listen to others who say this book helped

if you adamantly believe you know content

if you know critical thinking is your weakness...it can't be taught overnight.

Please understand that somewhere along the way your program failed you. You need to understand the "why" from the content you so adamantly profess to understand. If you know content, and you know the rationales and the "why" then there is nothing you can be taught for nclex.

That is essentially what nclex is. Why do you do this? Why do you do this first? Who do you assign this task? Which task do you perform first? Assessment and how to gather. The entire nursing process. That is what nclex is comprised of, but post after post you affirm you know these things.

Get a private tutor, take a refresher course, or seek religious counsel. No other advice here is going to help you kemfair.

Please remember, god helps those who help themselves and that includes being humble to realize you need more help and seeking out the opportunities to learn even if you don't want to (i.e., refresher course or tutor).

cp ************* your are not helping me ok.

Wow. People here are trying to help, and a lot of us have come to the conclusion that you need to take a refresher course. You should not verbally abuse other posters just because you don't agree with what they have to say.

Remember, the TOS of Allnurses.com states that

"Nothing should ever be posted here that you would not say in front of a crowd of professionals."

Would you tell a "crowd of professional" to "shut the hell up"?

I'm trying to send u a private mssg but your mailbox is filled

One thing I don't think anyone has asked is if you have a learning disability? Again, not trying to be rude and you do not need to answer this question on this board, but you repeat time and time again that you know the content and English is your first language. The way you present yourself to this forum and the way you type, your "cadence" so to speak, represents someone who may not fully understand the English language. Have you had difficulties learning or test taking before? Anxiety? These are questions you need to ask yourself and get help with if it is so.

After attempting and not passing the NCLEX 9 times, maybe you need to stop asking this board for prayers and advice, but you need to re-evaluate yourself and what you absolutely need to do in order to pass this test. Responding to sound reasoning with "shut the hell up" is inappropriate as well.
