Help with nclex

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I went to nursing school and graduated two years ago. I sat for the nclex twice, and failed both times. Due to some bad circumstances, I was unable to sit again until now. I don't know where to begin now. I don't know if I need to take a refresher course as I have seen people talk about, or a nclex prep course. When I graduated, I took the Hurst review. I have to admit, I was not crazy about it. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Im somewhat in the same situation !!

I graduated in Jan. 2014 (a YEAR ago!) I haven't sat for the NCLEX yet , nervous ! =(

It seems so frustrating with the background check, the application, etc.. I'm so overwhelmed I have no idea where to begin.

I am taking a review class in June, They guarantee results .. if you're interested , sylviarayfield.com ...

The PN is a two day workshop, with book, and its $200 (seems pricey, but sounds worth it)

I really hope that helps, and its kinda relieving to know I'm not the only one in this boat .. Good Luck to you!!

If you have any NCLEX study material with questions and rationales I would suggest start there are see how you do. If you find you are getting a lot of questions wrong in a certain area then study up in that area

Thank you! I will definitely check into that! I also thought I was the only one that was going through this! Everybody I graduated with has passed and started their career! Thank you so much for your response! I wish you the best of luck!

I think you should take a diagnostic test and see your weakness and strength. After that decide to where you need to focus

If you are going to take nclex rn, I would suggest you to buy ncsbn 5-7 week package about 70$ for 5 week.

It's giving your lecture about topic and make you test to see if u really understand that topic. After you read next topic and take an other test has 20q. After review all topics there is more than a thousand of practice questions. That topic review would be refresh you since they focus topics in nclex. And they are the one who make nclex questions.

If you need test taking strategies, than go kaplan. But if you need really refresh and review topics ncsbn is good start.

Thank you for this! I didn't know they had something like that. I will start there first. It sounds like the best option. Then, I can do a review maybe. Thanks again!

I heard Kaplan was extremely good. That will be one I check out, also. Everybody seemed to like Hurst, but for some reason I didn't. Kaplan will be my next choice.

Kaplan good for questions practice and test strategies. Kaplan doesn't go over review topics.
