Questions: To effectively review for NCLEX-PN, do I need to purchase the most recent edition for Exam Cram? As stated above, I have the 2005 book. If I have to "upgrade," I will, but would like to hear from others who compared the 2 editions. Also, the 2005 edition I have includes the CD, but I'm afraid to install it because it's not made for Windows Vista, as Vista wasn't out then. Any techies reading this know if I can still install it w/o problems?

Thanks, all. :)

P.S. Taking the test this week! Bring it on, baby! Woohoo!!! Finally! :yeah:

(BTW, please don't think I've just started reviewing for this test. I have been preparing just never considered buying the newest EC version until this weekend. I've been focusing mostly on Saunders and didn't realize that EC was made by Pearson, the NCLEX test company. Duh.) :/

If you are testing this week then I would say it is a waste of money buying the latest edition. 5 years is a long time and things change especially some of the formats like SATA (Select All That Apply) drag etc

Thanks for replying, Silverdragon102. I suppose I can try to borrow it from local library instead. If I knew the book would help me tremendously, then I'd strongly consider rescheduling my test and purchase it. FWIW, the Saunders book I'm using is the most recent edition. Hmmm, what to do? Decisions, decisions....

Decision made: I will keep stick to my original test date and give it my best shot. :)

Good luck, If you have the latest Saunders that should have some of the new format style questions

Thanks all.

Took the NCLEX today and...wow! Felt like this some of the time: :banghead: and other times felt like this :yeah:. Walked out after 90-something questions like this: :hhmth: I'm told the results in CA take over a month... I need a long nap.

Received my test results in a week (lightning speed for CA from what I'm told) and PASSED! Woot! Thank you for supportive family and friends, God.
