Failed the NCLEX twice and now I don't want to be a nurse because of it!

Nursing Students NCLEX

I'm throwing in the towel. I've tried everything. I'm now broke and NCLEX has had me lose my passion to be a nurse. I can't even afford to re-register for another shot. The hospital that hired me as a GN let me go because they hired me to be a nurse and it's been too long for them to wait. They gave me another chance after the first time, but they had to sever ties with me. Thank you NCLEX for destroying my dreams with your ******** questions that do not pertain to real world situations. Bad exam takers have hardly a chance while great exam takers pass and most suck on the floor as a RN.

There were times when I didn't even pass some exams in nursing school.

Having really bad test anxiety does that to you.

Take a step back, realize exactly what you're doing wrong.

What did your CPR say?

What did you use for testing material?

Don't give up. You've completed nursing school so you're intelligent enough to pass the NCLEX. Have you tried studying a different way between the two exams? What are you using to study? Do you use any test strategies that are out there for the NCLEX?

Have faith and try again!!

Don't give up. I know it's hard to fail twice however; you are definitely not the only one. Think about it if it was easy everyone would be going through Nursing School and sitting for the NCLEX. But nope it's not easy. The NCLEX questions at times do pertain to real world situations however; you have to think in the NCLEX world the situation will be different. How did you prepare? Did you focus on just content? Did you practice questions? You have to think what you did wrong before you give up. Plainly giving up just because you failed the NCLEX twice is pretty much throwing away all you learned in Nursing School. I've seen people fail like 3-4 times and still keep at it and they lift themselves up and pass. You can too just gotta think more positively and know that you want to pass the NCLEX.

Maybe getting fired is the best thing for you, now take advantage of time and do some hard studying. Study all the categories 8 hours a day for 2 months and you will pass.

Specializes in Operating Theater Nurse.

Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all..

Dont quit, there are people tried 14 times FAILED still trying hard financially broken just to pass nclex.
