Failed My NCLEX 3 Times - What To Do Now? ( Retake RN Exam or Take LPN )

  1. Hello guys, i just have this problem right now that i have already taken the exam 3 times and still did not pass, I'm not that bummed out about it because i know that I'll reach my RN level soon. But my question is that if I will be retaking my NCLEX-RN Exam in New York, can i also apply for an NCLEX-LPN Exam? Or would i still need to take the LPN Programs even though I'm a BSN Graduate?

And also could you give me some ideas on what to do? Do I just stick with the NCLEX-RN Exam and keep studying and retaking and hopefully passing? Or take the LPN route temporarily and see if I can pass and get a job as an LPN for a while? I know I'm not the only one who did not pass the NCLEX 3 times.

Take an online review course, such as Kaplan or NCSBN. It's better to pay for an online review than to pay to take the NCLEX again.

I also think a review course would be a good idea. I am currently taking Hurt and NCSBN.

Thanks for posting guys, just a couple of questions since you're already taking the online courses.

    How much are they?
How long does it take to complete?
And which ones work for you? Like: Hurst, NCSBN, or Kaplan?

    Thanks again guys!

Hurst is $300 and I have only done about 15% of the whole program. It contains video lectures and worksheets. I just started NCSBN today and it costs $50 for 3 week access.

My nclex is in 1 month.

Thanks for the info, I saw the NCSBN website as well and still checking on the Hurst, I hope you finish the whole program and hopefully you pass your NCLEX! Good Luck!

Thanks. I am liking NCSBN so far. I took the pretest and got this score:

Exam Passing Score: 75% Your Score: 52%

It was hard to me and I guessed in several questions but this is just the start of this program and hurst. Hopefully I pass and I am sure you will too!
