Discouraged in PA

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

So I'm feeling a bit off about my NCLEX I graduated in May and have taken the nclex 3 times already failed the first 2 after having all 265 questions and then i just took it again yesterday for my third time and shut off at 78 questions. I live in PA and everyone i know said to check the PA licenses site the next day to see if your name is added to it so i checked it today and still no name but its a saturday and my one friend said hers did not pop up on saturday after taking hers on a friday but she was the only one that happened too. I'm sitting here feeling like i failed for a third time now though and dont understand what the heck im doing wrong because i wasnt this bad in school. I just feel like the longer it takes me the more im going to forget and im not going to pass. Has anyone else ever had the site not update on a friday? Any advice for someone maybe going on their fourth time taking the exam?

Patience is a virtue. It's not always within 24 hours- it took 47ish hours for my name to appear on the licensing verification site. I too was positive I failed until I saw my name.

However, if you did fail a third time, what have you tried differently in your approach to studying? That CPR sent out with your results is something you should be heavily scrutinizing to see where you need to improve, and your study habits should be evaluated and modified appropriately. Having been several months since graduation, you may need an in person, in depth review course before the next time.

Mine took 10 days to post in PA -- I tried Quick Results at 48H, and of course the Pearson site was down and out of service for an hour or so right at that time :p but I got it eventually. I took my test June 30th, and it's possible that the 4th of July week delayed the PA BON. My classmate took hers Thursday, and had to use QR too. Some of our classmates had license numbers within 24H, though. It could just be random!

For the record, PA hasn't posted anything to Nursys since 9/23, if that helps!

Thanks for the reply both of you. I originally went over a lippincott review book and an Ati review class that I didn't think helped at all. After I failed the first time I did the nclex mastery app and a prioritization review book also while finishing off the lippincott book. After that time I decided I would review some content as well as doing some practice questions from prepu. I donno I will have my quick results at one today though.

It doesn't show up on the weekends.

I tested Saturday, my license showed up on Monday .

Well I checked for my license yesterday and my name didn't pop up, I took my test 9/18, i'm from cali does that mean I failed?

If you tested nclex-PN for CA BVNPT won't show up. You wait 4-8 weeks for the results letter. Then if passed you pay for your license. After its processed your license appears

Ok thanks, I'm nervous

There is nothing you can do. The average rate at this .6 to 8 weeks for the pass letter. Then another four weeks for a license to be issued after you pay

Well after waiting for my quick results to be ready I found out that I PASSED!!! I guess I was just rly anxious and looking down on myself since I failed twice already but I am so relieved now!
