Cali. RN License Still Not Posted

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello everyone,

I'm from California so no quick results available. I graduated in June 2014 and this was my first time taking the exam.

October 22: Took my NCLEX-RN and got the good pop-up 'Our records indicated you cannot register for another exam etc. etc.'

48 Hours Post-test: License not posted on breeze. I contacted the BRN only to have them say my transcripts were "being processed, please wait a few weeks". My school had sent my transcript to Sacramento with certified mail. I tracked it and it arrived on Sept. 16.

1 Week Post-test: BRN still said my transcripts are being processed. Need to keep waiting.

2 Weeks Post-test: Spoke with a women - she personally went to grab my file and told me they don't have my transcript failed but she believes she saw it recently and to keep checking on breeze the next few days to a week and I should see my license posted (I guess this was her way saying I passed for sure as well).

3 Weeks Post-test: TODAY... still NOTHING. Called this morning and was told to wait 4 weeks for my transcript to be processed. It has been 8 weeks since my school sent the transcript. That's plenty of time to input it.

I am 99% sure the BRN lost my transcript... and at week 4 I have a feeling I will be requested to resend my transcript... Which means MORE TIME NEEDED FOR PROCESSING! I asked if I should resent my transcript now and they said no just allow up to 4 weeks for processing.

I'm seeing posts of people who tested early in November have already received their license on breeze, so doesn't seem like there's a backlog or anything.... Any suggestions as to what I should do?!?!?!? Or if you anyone knows a direct number to someone who can help me - the reps from the 1-800 number isn't doing anything for me.

Thank you in advance!

Since you are understandably anxious, I would take the initiative and have your school resend the transcripts. If eight weeks later, you are still getting the "wait and see" instructions, I would do it again. Keep repeating until they process your transcripts. I am serious with this advice. Sometimes it takes multiple submissions to get anything done. Good luck.

A few of my classmates had to wait around 4-5 weeks for their licenses to be processed. I don't think any of them had an IP. If they did, the BRN didn't cancel their IP right after the exam. All of the classmates that I'm reasonably certain that had an IP had a wait time of less than a week. Three of us had wait times of

In the meantime, check BreEZe every normal work day and they may have taken yesterday off for Veteran's Day.

I proposed I resend my transcript but was told not to as it might cause confusion... and told to wait 4 weeks before they can do anything.

LO AND BEHOLD...! Today is week 4 and there is STILL NOTHING on breeze. Called the BRN all they said was your transcript is still not processed, let me put a note for your evaluator to recheck your file. We pretty much went in circles about the whole thing and went absolutely nowhere.

Tell me if I passed, if I failed... GIVE ME MY LICENSE! My anxiety has turned into rage and frustration!!!

UPDATE: I contacted the DCA directly, hoping for a solution. AND BAM... they told me same day I contact them, the BRN LOST my transcript and want me to re-sent a new one.

!@#$ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At this rate with the holidays around the corner, I probably won't get my license until AFTER the new year. Gosh... I am so angry!!!

I am not surprised with your update. Nice that you had to get this information by contacting them and not from getting a communication from them. Suppose they were never going to tell you.

Finally, after 40 torturous days of waiting... I received my license on December 1st!

Good luck to everyone still waiting for their results and those that are going to test soon! Stay positive and have confidence! The pop-up trick worked for me!

congrats~! you live down the street from me...

anyway, i need an ATT.... turned in my application last month. they said, 8-12 weeks... i laughed when the recording mentioned something along the lines of "if you call and inquire about your application, it might delay the process..."
